Visiting 🇵🇪 Peru, made reservations for 1/30/23 online and when I showed up with my wife for her Birthday Dinner, I realized my mistake....Yikes, I reserved 1/31/23 by accident! The super kind hostess had to check and see about seating to change the reservation if possible as this place is reservations only and very nice views, beautiful locations on the water docks and everything looked very high class. She came back and said yes we will seat you. I was thinking man they are going to put us near the bathroom door, or the kitchen as there were no seats or views....the opposite, she gave us maybe the best dinner table in the restaurant next to the window with a view of the ocean and sunset and Costa! 1st off drinks were delicious! The service and hospitality was 1st Class, white glove treatment. For appetizers we had the Shrimp Cocktails and the Fresh Tuna with Mango, then for dinner we had the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz con Mariscos. Everything was super! We cleaned the plates. Even the bread was tasty! To end the night they brought out a sweet birthday plate with cake and candle and my wife was so happy she cried. This was the best experience for our memories in Peru 🇵🇪. Thank you all at La Rosa Nautica

The place has a great location but could use some renovation or at least some paint. The sunset was amazing anyway. The food was delicious and most plates had a nice presentation as well. The waiter was friendly and helpful with our specific requests. We ordered: - Carpaccio de pulpo - Ceviche Rosa - Salmon Limonero - Arroz Marino - 2 glasses of white wine The total price on the bill was 375 Soles. Which is pretty high, especially in Peru, but could be ok if it weren't for the following. The moment you receive the bill you start to feel like they are trying all manners of squeezing every penny out of you: - The prices in the menu include tax, the prices on the bill don't, which makes it very hard to check the bill. - The waiter wrote next to the bill a suggestion of either 10% or 15% as a tip and when paying with a card he will ask you which one you want to choose. And it looked like the bill already included service. - Bread is being charged while they didn't ask if we wanted it. - Water is being charged and we were obviously given more expensive water than other guests without giving us a choice. - After paying with my card the receipt was taken away which gave the feeling that they didn't want me to check it better. All this makes the end of a good experience feel less good and does not make me want to return to this restaurant. So if you have enough money to spend and want to be treated like that, this can be a good experience with a great view. If you worked very hard to save some money to go to a nice place I would say you might enjoy another place better.

Really disappointing. Against my better judgement (usually only going to restaurants with a 4.7 or above star rating), we went to La Rosa Náutica for the sunset, put in the ocean setting and decided to give it a chance. The location is nice but the restaurant is very big which perhaps explains why the food is so lacking in quality. We ordered: Ceviche La Rosa, the Blue Tartar, the Scallops and the Spaghetti Mariscos. Usually, even average seafood can be enhanced when eating by the ocean but, unfortunately this seafood was so bad that even the sound of the waves splashing against the pier couldn’t save it. The scallops were by far the worst part of the meal. They tasted sour and potentially off. We spoke to our waiter as we were concerned that we (or others) might get sick. The waiter in fairness was quite sweet and the chef brought out to more “fresh” scallops and apologised. However, these were still awful. The tartar and ceviche were average at best. Nothing tasted fresh and it lacked depth of flavour. The spaghetti was nice but not outstanding. I was glad we ordered that as we left most of the other food and just ate the pasta, so at least we didn’t leave hungry. We eat at a lot of great restaurants. Some with expensive price tags and others more local and reasonably priced and this was one of the most disappointing meals we have had in a long time. This place has the potential to be a gorgeous restaurant in a. Beautiful location but sadly, there is a lot of work needed to be done for the food to reach a standard that matches the prices and dress code.

My husband and I came here for dinner from a friends recommendation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. I am surprised with how high this restaurant is rated based on our experience, but it could have been just the dishes we ordered. I do think this restaurant is extremely overpriced. It was our most expensive meal in South America so far (we’ve been here for 5 weeks). We had the ceviche appetizer, duck confit, and shrimp risotto. The best of these three dishes was the duck confit and I would say it was average or below. We didn’t like half of the things on the ceviche platter and we love fish especially raw or ceviche style. Also, the shrimp risotto was extremely bland. The restaurant is very touristy with shops along the pier that lead to the restaurant, which normally does not appeal to us because of the usually overpriced menus. I did however really enjoy my Pisco Sour! If you’re looking for cocktails and a good sunset spot I would recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, if you’re planning to eat and are as big of foodies and my husband and myself I would look for a different restaurant. The wait staff was very nice and the restaurant itself is aesthetically appealing. We just unfortunately won’t be back.

Beautiful, romantic, high-end restaurant, ideal for admiring the sunset on the Pacific Ocean. Specialized in seafood, the ingredients are first class and the preparation very good. Food presentation lacks a bit of "wow factor", to match the location and the prices, and that is why I am not giving it a "full" five stars. Service is attentive and very professional, if a bit formal. I've ordered a seafood pasta and I had to ask for an extra plate for the clam shells, which should come by default. Is this an unforgivable sin? Hardly, but then again at this price point it should not happen. All seafood dishes were full of flavor, but the desserts, while nice, were a bit bland. Some combinations worked very well, like scallops with Parmigiano cheese, but they came with lemon to squeeze and, in my opinion, lemon does not go at all with Parmigiano cheese. The terrace is opened year-round and in the winter nights it can get a bit chilly, in spite of the heaters, because of the sea breeze. Overall it is a nice restaurant, deserving its iconic status and it comes recommended for me, but there is still room for improvements, especially considering how competitive Lima's gastronomic scene is.

The taste of lima has classic seafood and poultry and beef dishes. You will find the classic Peruvian menu here in an elegant setting. The location is not walkable, it is a high class restaurant please take an uber, since it is located in a pier. Go to Astrid or Central if you want to walk to it. The restaurant has its own history and preserves a very loving place in the memory or Peruvians as many proposals are made here. The ceiling paint was fine to me, it's classic and elegant ambiance is captivating. The food is good, to lima standards is a 8 to 7, and the bar and drinks 8.5 to 9.5. Even with this scores the food is really good and flavorfull, but it lack the flare and flavor of restaurants like astrid, or even small venues like the lucha. Why then would you visit? the food is good, the ambiance is good, the place at the sea is beautiful, the attention and venue is great, and you get to see why so many Peruvians remember this as the place where their parents were engaged.
