great hotel with an excellent location in miraflores… cpl blocks from tons of restaurants and nightlife yet far away enough for it to be very quiet and safe… room was excellent, huge with a big couch and table and lots of square footage… almost like a mini living room… had a mini fridge and microwave so we’re able to heat up food whenever we wanted in the room… the view is nothing special as it’s a quiet residential street… breakfast is ok but can use some work… the eggs were semi cold all the time but the guy was trying the best he could lol… amazing fresh squeezed orange juice machine that does all the work with no effort… there’s security gate you be buzzed in at the front and one night we went out and came back super late and nobody was there to let us in… kept ringing the bell for awhile and he showed up finally…. the two house bikes were nice, super beaters that we adjusted to make rideable but they were good enough to do 15 miles around lima and the beach so it was cool…. ubers arrived in only a few minutes here and were dirty cheap… overall andesmar was great, would definitely stay here again if in lima… actually chose this hotel off of reviews and they were right on… see ya again...
Read moreMy stay at Hotel Andesmar was pleasant overall, with no major issues to report. The hotel offered a comfortable and convenient experience, enhanced by its excellent location. The hotel itself was nice, with clean and well-maintained facilities. The room provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. However, I found the breakfast experience to be disappointing. Despite the additional cost, the quality of the breakfast did not meet expectations. The selection was limited, and the food offerings were of poor quality. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the breakfast area and the machines left much to be desired. As a result, I would skip the breakfast option during your stay. On a positive note, the staff at Hotel Andesmar were friendly and accommodating. They were quick to assist with any inquiries or requests, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. In conclusion, while Hotel Andesmar offers a comfortable stay and an excellent location, the breakfast experience may leave something to be desired. However, the friendly staff and convenient location make it a viable option for travelers looking for accommodation...
Read moreSpent our last 2 nights in Peru here. The location was nice in terms of walking distance to good restaurants and bars, but pretty far from the main square (about a 40min Uber ride). It was gated with a 24hr front desk person to let you in so feeling safe was nice, but I also will add that in general, the neighborhood felt safe which was great. The breakfast was so impressive with several hot items, freshly squeezed juice, and an abundance of other things. Wish we didn't have to leave so early the next morning because we missed out on it. My only complaint was how loud it was. The streets were relatively quiet, but the hotel echos and the doors are hard to shut so whenever someone came or left on our floor, it was heard. Thankfully its not a party hotel so it wasn't happening at odd hours of the night. I'd recommend this hotel for that area, but I personally think next time I'd stay closer to the main square just for convenience of seeing all the...
