I loved this Plaza Independencia because this place is designated for family recreation. This is a very old place. During my chilhood days I always played & visited this place because the Animal Zoo was located in this place but 20 years later the animals were relocated to other place. It is not only the Animal Zoo that excited me but this place has a historical value for filipinos during spanish colonial time. Plenty of our filipino forefathers died in this place to defend the area. It is nice to roam around here together with your family & friends coz this place is a special place for recreation & relaxation of our family. You can see the Port Harbor nearby, the cars & motorist passingby. The area has so many big trees & the surroubdings is not hot due to the shadows of the trees. There is also some small canteen selling foods, softdrinks & snacks. You can bring your own foods to eat in this place. There is also a parking space...
Read moreThis plaza is very historical and a must visit place. In our history class, this place is referred to as "The First Malacañang of the Philippines" this was during the Spanish era. This is also a big plaza with a playground which I really love to go to. It is big that during afternoon a lot of people would gather here just to do exercises, practice dance or a school play, do zumba, etc. It also has a clean public toilet. Many tourist visit this place especially the museum nearby. It is also near the St. Niño Church and some stores. The plaza is also clean since it's being monitored by guards day and night. At night this plaza shines brightly with its decorations though its not Christmas but it has Christmas lights, because it appears beautiful at night, a lot of couple date here because of its...
