I recently visited Plaza Independencia in Cebu City, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The park's historical significance, scenic views, and well-manicured landscapes make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Cebu City. Walking around the park and exploring Fort San Pedro was an amazing experience, and it provided a unique insight into the city's colonial past. The park's proximity to the ocean and other landmarks also added to its charm and made it an ideal spot for taking photos and relaxing. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Plaza Independencia to anyone traveling to Cebu City. It's a beautiful and tranquil oasis in the heart of the city that offers a glimpse into its rich history and cultural heritage.

This place became our resting place after participating in the Grand Procession in celebration of the culminating activity for the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines. That time, Plaza Independencia, provided me peace, relaxation and appreciation to the beauty of the place. A simple beauty that caters to the needs of lovers, family, community like us and our wards, and others. Cleanliness is commendable and there is a good space for everyone. No entrance fees. Vendors sells near the gate only. It can be improved...more.

This is Cebu city's one and only public park. Many people would come here to rehearse specially the dancers, some visitors you see here are couples having there date. What government/police should pay their attention to are the street dwellers. Since the plaza is accessible to the public 24hours, there should be a police outpost every corner and more lamp post should be provided to lighten up the area and not leave a corner dark cause any crime can happen like being pointed by snatchers.

Go to park by students who wants to passby their time and also practicing school activities. If you are up to Bohol, Camotes or going to nearby islands of Cebu and waiting for your boarding time. This is a good spot to passby hours and you can still sea around by foot most of the historical sites: Fort San Pedro, Magellan Cross, Sto. NINO church, Cathedral Church, Cebu Museum,

I always love the place since I was a kid since the time I can remember. Now I have kids of my own and I am sharing this place to them which is more improved now that they have cleaner place, playgrounds and all that each family or individual would ask for a place to relax after church. Visit this place when you come here in Cebu.

Nice outside space near the port area. There are many benches and green spaces. On a less scorching hot day, it would be nice to bring your lunch and have a picnic. There were many groups of young adults (teens) dancing all over the plaza. It was like K-Pop central. Nice place to walk and look around while in the port area.
