Carbon Night Market — Local services in Cebu City

Imagine streets and streets filled with fresh produce...all the fruits and vegetables you can think of...and then you have Carbon Market!

Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of vegetables and fruits. This is by far the largest street farmer's market I have witnessed

Very good deals on produce...about half of what the local supermarkets are charging. If you are good at bargaining, you will do very well here.

There are many food stalls serving local food (canideria-type foods and oc course, fried chicken) but I was not able to find vegetarian or vegan options.

So instead I got a buko (young green coconut)for drinking and eating 40 Pesos

If you're staying overnight in Cebu City over the weekend, I highly recommend visiting this market.

And if you haven't yet tried local ice creams, you definitely should look for the manually pushed carts. Flavors- Mango, Ube, and Avocado 20 Pesos for all...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Carbon Night Market is a fun place to check out loads of food stalls, plenty of variety, and a really lively atmosphere. The lights and music give it a nice buzz, and it’s easy to spend an hour or two wandering around trying different things.

But honestly, there are a few downsides. It gets really busy, especially on weekends, so walking around can feel like wading through a crowd. Finding a table is almost impossible unless you’re lucky, and some stalls have really long waits. The food I tried was decent, but not all of it lived up to the hype and for the prices they’re charging, I expected a bit more.

The biggest drawback for me was the smell. The market is right next to a wholesale market, and every so often a strong fish smell drifts through. In some spots it’s not too bad, but in others it’s pretty overpowering, and it does put a damper on enjoying your food.

All in all, it’s worth a visit for the vibe and the variety, but be prepared for crowds, higher prices, and the occasional...

Amazing bustling place with never ending rows of mainly fruit and veg stalls which farmers come to sell until early morning hours. You can also browse through preloved clothing ukay ukay style (meaning to dig). Once you get hungry, head to the food market (follow the bbq smoke) where you can try all the Cebuano or even Korean delicacies. The array of fish, seafood and grills is unbelievable. You can wash it down with a smoothie or have hand-made ube (purple yam, local favourite)...
