Excellent museum. Slight frustrations coming out of some comments here are related to the fact that some people probably don't even read carefully the name of the museum and its main subject: "time of the occupation 1939-1945". True, it is a museum of the WW2, but it does indeed have a lot of extremely interesting exhibits related to Oskar Schindler's factory. Excellent way to begin is to watch a short cinema movie right at the beginning of the exposure (ca 20 min) with documented interviews with some people who worked in Schindler's factory. One of them mentions the moment when whole factory with all machines was evacuated at the late stage of the WW2 within only 12 hours- so in fact not much is even left there. Schindler's office table and also his secretary's working table are exposed in the museum. One can understand from that movie a lot of additional details from that time- some of I've heard here for the first time in my life. Highly recommended. We didn't reserve tickets previously (which is recommended) and there were none left on the homepage. We went spontaneously there anyway and after 1h 30m of waiting on a working day in May we were lucky to get tickets and get in. I would next time spend inside at least 3 hours

More of an exhibit about the occupation of Krakow than Oscar Schindler, but that is not a minus. He was an incredible figure who's actions echo down the decades in the shape of generations that would not have otherwise lived. However, he is only part of a much larger story of the invasion and occupation of Poland, a story that is told in intricate (and graphic at points) detail and that is what this extensive museum focuses on. The museum 'route' ends with a portrait of Lenin, the next chapter of Poland but not told here. Booking online would have you believe there are strict time slots. We walked up to the ticket desk at 2pm (no times available until 4pm) immediately presented our tickets to the doorman/concierge and walked straight in. There are multiple group tours on offer, but every exhibit has ample English translation so I debate whether it's worth doing a tour. It is VERY worth sitting through the looped presentation of filmed first hand accounts in the movie theatre. It's only 10-15mins long and these people were actually there. It provides first hand context to the factory and the events unfolding around it. Highly recommended and only a 20 minute walk from the Jewish Quarter.

The museum itself was amazing and very well done. I loved how thorough it was, and everything was also available in English. My problem lies with the fact that the museum does not handle groups and individual tourists very well. This is a tourist hotspot, and by that, I mean a TRUE tourist hotspot. You get constant flows of huge groups of people (40 or more at a time), and their guides have absolutely no shame in occupying an entire room and blocking the access for individual tourists. They also take FOREVER to say their speech, and they won't let you through. You have to wait, regardless of what you want to do in the museum. You can't move at your own pace, take photos, or enjoy the place because of the constant chaos caused by the careless guides and their groups. It was unbearable to be stuck between an Italian and a Spanish group for almost two hours. We were unable to advance or enjoy or take photos because we simply couldn't. The museum doesn't care. They don't let the groups in one at a time. They have no rules, and it feels like a jungle. I absolutely would not recommend visiting this place just because of the poor management. Not to mention the high price of the ticket. And also they run out of tickets, apparently. We tried going there around 1pm on a weekday, and they told us they had no more tickets available. Weird. It wasn't even close to the closing time. How does a museum even run out of tickets? Anyways, horrible experience.

Those hoping to find out much about Oscar Schindler and his story are likely to be rather disappointed by this museum, as although this is the site of his factory, he is only really covered in the introductory film and the couple of rooms that were his and his secretary’s office. Otherwise, this is mainly the story of Kraków during World War II, with a particular focus on the Jewish community and Płaszow concentration camp. It does an excellent job of telling this story and unless you really are obsessed with Schindler, it is definitely worth visiting and allowing 2-3 hours to do so. Everything is in Polish and English, and the story is brought to life with numerous photos. At times, aesthetics have been prioritised rather expense of legibility; some of the boards are on backgrounds that make them almost impossible to read. It can also be hard to be an individual visitor with guided tours clogging up many areas, as the museum is really not spacious enough to accommodate tours. These are minor quibbles for improvement and I would certainly recommend a visit. It can get popular and ticket slots sell out, so reserve ahead online if possible (you can collect and pay at the ticket office).

Great museum, a very small amount of the exhibits don't have a description to follow but 99% do so worth going. Only a small part of museum is dedicated to Oscar schindler but u do see the original gates, his desk & office plus display of pans & more. The museum mainly focuses on the history on Krakow & it's journey through the 2nd world war. Fascinating & some truley heroic stories where people saved lives in the war. Museaum takes u on a journey from when Germany invaded. Some exhibits are interactive & varying styles of displays. We paid for 2 adults on english visa card & it worked out about £11 for us both on statement when we got back (chose option to pay in local currency, seemed cheaper than times we paid in £). So much to see u won't get bored, definitely worth a trip. Some of the bus tours stop here so worth doing a day bus tour & stopping here first to visit at the start of your day, seeing the rest of the city after being here made the bus tour & seeing the city more enjoyable.

Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory is a must-visit historical site in Krakow. The museum offers an incredibly moving and insightful journey into the tragic events of World War II and the Holocaust. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, providing a profound understanding of Oskar Schindler's heroic efforts to save hundreds of Jewish lives during the darkest times. The Factory's layout and multimedia presentations are engaging and make the history come to life. The guides are knowledgeable and passionate, adding a personal touch to the experience. They share stories and details that truly connect visitors to the past. Moreover, the Factory's preservation efforts are commendable, creating an atmosphere that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history while paying respects to the victims and survivors. I highly recommend visiting Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory. It is an educational and emotional journey that will leave a lasting impact on anyone who walks through its doors.
