Read moreRecently visited this restaurant and I am far from impressed. Started with the fact that we were dare to come 12 whole minutes earlier than our reservation had, Thursday 17 pm. We (8 people) entered to the restaurant and waited to be seated as per the request sais on the slab. After around 2 min 1 waitress come, but do not bother herself with the greetings, not even blink to us but get started to organize couple of menus. She was standing 1 metre to us.. as she come on that nice and slow way she left after 1 min. still no greetings.. 3 minutes later one of us went inside and ask a waiter to help. He let us know that we are way too early and our table is not ready so we have to leave the restaurant and we have to wait outside untill or reservation time....6 minutes left until 17pm.. The little problem with this, the restaurant was around 40 percent occupied only, the staff was visibly not in a hurry. Regarding the table, we are talking about 1 napkin, 1 fork & 1 knife for all together 10 people... Not some fancy French restaurant with separate white & red wine glasses, fish knife and dessert forks etc..... After the strictly 6 min wait outside we re entered.. At least now a waiter came and seated us property. We got the menus but without any notification that one of their main course (Rostbef Grillè - steak in fancy name) is not available. Of course 3 of us wanted that, when our waitress come back and she mentioned this tiny info only when we wanted to order it... But the most annoying about this that we where seated next to the dry ager fridge with full of meats.... So I tried for starter the Shrimps and it was great, I can recommend it without any hesitation, but not like the Orzo burger. They don't even ask how do we prefer the meat..it was well done - dry.... I feel sorry for the owner that they invested a lot of money, paid attention to the internal design to create an unforgettable place, they have awesome chefs and combined with such unprofessional catering staff... On top of all as it was a reservation so we where obliged to spend at least 90 zloty, and more over 10% mandatory tip for the "professional" service... Thanks but no thanks. For this amount of money you can find way...
Huge disappointment for our party of 8. We flew to Kraków for 1 day only to surprise our sister for her 30th birthday. Booked table for 8. We were welcomed at the door by a polite waiter and were seated. The breakfast menu clearly says " weekend before 1pm order 1 breakfast/ tea or coffee or fresh juice to get 1 breakfast free " No other rules, no other explanation, not even a * to say ask your server. Our waitresses came to take our order. We said we'll order when everyone gets here. She however insisted that we order some drinks to warm up. We did. We then ordered our breakfast. The food itself for quite nice. We asked for the bill. The full bill arrived. So I went up to the till to ask for the "get 1 free breakfast deal". I was told that discount does not apply to our bill because food and drinks should be ordered at the same time, doesn't apply to couples etc I expressed my disappointment and informed the manager that waitresses suggested we order drinks first to warm up, not only that, she also failed to inform us about terms and conditions of the deal since there is nothing written on the actual menu The manager was rude and struggled to understand not only polish but my point of view. We will never come back simply because no one apologised, the manager was upset that I even raised an issue. Unpleasant and unprofessional. On top of that service charge is compulsory no matter of...
Read moreI knew Orzo from my visits to Poznan and Wroclaw, and I always enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the excellent service there. However, I was quite disappointed in my two visits here in Krakow. Two days ago, I had to sit next to the toilet for men even though there was plenty of room. Also, the starter was being served quite fast, but I waited a long time for the main course (truffle pasta). The waiter was nice and the drinks good, so I decided to go there again today to have some pizza. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. From the start, the waiter didn’t seem to be motivated or even friendly at all. As a starter, I ordered Batatas Bravas again, but the portion was smaller that two days before. Then, the pizza Burratina was served when I didn’t event finish half of the starter, and was just not good at all. Because of the Burrata and (cold) tomatoes, the pizza was cold from the beginning, and what was the worst is that the dough was extremely crispy! I’ve never ever experienced something like this when it came to Neapolitan pizzas, and the pizzas at the other Orzo places where a hundred times better. The cherry on top was that the waiter didn’t even ask how I liked the food and didn’t even say goodbye or thank you after I paid and just left the table. Never going...
