John Paul II Park — Attraction in Poznan

**Note- this review is geared towards dog use.I found this park late in the summer and have been there a few times as it is very dog friendly- including large dogs! I have only used the -which appears to be - the dedicated clearing for dogs based on the fact everyone is allowing their dogs feedom to play (God bless them) and the numerous holes dug by dogs...now, THAT I don't like! These holes are huge, probably about the size of the hole in the heads of the people who allow their dogs to dig these craters! See, these people are the ones who give good dog owners a bad wrap and ruin it for everyone! These holes seriously need to be filled in- I wittnesed a dog in a dog park in Warsaw with holes get badly injured while playing chase with another dog! It was hard to watch! Pure stupidity on the part of the owners! On the plus side, so far, owners remove their dogs leash to play rather than dragging it on the dog where an injury can occur. Think about it- a dogs leg gets caught while running...potential for a broken leg! The pond is nice, my water loving dog went in (it was her or both of us) but she just runs on the edge. I don't think it's the cleanest water, or even allowed for dogs to jump in- she was fine and I keep her away from it now as water is her cocaine! All in all, dogs aside- nice park to get away from it all, my dogs smile after off leash play...

This review isn't objective at all - I used to frequent the park as a kid and teenager, and I just love how it's gotten even greener and denser since. There's also a new playground and a decent pizzeria In the park. The pond I used to swim in is now rather overgrown and a home to some lucky ducks. A great...

Ciekawe miejsce na aktywność sportową oraz miejsce zabaw.

Spacerując alejkami można nacieszyć oko widokiem dość dużych drzew, stawu i trochę zieleni. Widać, że miejsce cieszy się zainteresowaniem lokalnej społeczności.

Sobotnie przedpołudnie, nadal zimno, ale słonecznie, a w parku mnóstwo biegaczy, rowerzystów i rolkarzy. Place zabaw przepełnione dziećmi. Plenerowa siłownia oraz miejsce to street workoutu z drążkami mniej oblegane, ale nadal nie były puste.

W parku znajduje się również duży asfaltowy plac na którym wymalowane są różne pomoce do gier ulicznych (np. klasy), jazdy na rowerze czy rolkach, a także widziałam hokeistów na rolkach. Niektóre malunki świeże, inne już bardzo starte i wymagają odświeżenia, niemniej świetna idea! Jest też miejsce z 1 koszem do koszykówki.

Coś na co zwróciłam uwagę po...
