It's definitely worth visiting the CR7 Museum for the entry price of €5 (adults and children aged 10 and above).
If you're not a football fan but visiting Madeira with somebody who is, I would say it's still worth at least a brief visit if only because, at €5, the experience isn't too expensive, it won't take up much of your time and the trophies, as well as the replicas, do give a very clear sense of what awards actually look like up close. You won't be burdened by lots of detail.
For real football fans that's the downside because it's not a museum in the traditional sense of exhibits with detailed explanations of the individual trophies or biographical timeliness. It is more a very large trophy room with an impressive range of achievements and awards on display. I can see how people would be disappointed by the lack of a more informative design.
There is a video screen exhibit that allows you to select career highlight goals, skills and near misses for viewing and it's very well designed - there's something of interest there for everybody in terms of the clubs he's played at.
For €5 extra, you can have your picture taken against a backdrop with Ronaldo interacting with you. I'm surprised to say, it's actually very well done and worth the €5!
The staff in the exhibit part of the CR7 Museum were friendly. We didn't ask them for information on individual trophies but I'm sure that if we did, they would have provided information.
There's clothing and other memorabilia for sale upstairs including genuine football jerseys. There are also t-shirts and hoodies which are quite reasonably priced - €25 for a t-shirt and €25 for a school backpack with the CR7 logo and Ronaldo's silhouette on it. I haven't seen most of the items on sale elsewhere and these items are, of course, official items.
It's possible to have tea/coffee in the CR7 hotel albeit at hotel prices.
To be honest, with the friendly staff, I can't fault the experience and as long as you don't expect a conventional museum tour, you probably won't be...
