When we arrived we were the only ones in the park, and it was difficult to find someone who attended to us, because reception was hard to find and the staff we saw walking around in the park didn't acknowledge us. When we informed about the activities, only 3 out of many were available. We were sympathetic because it is probably low season.
We chose the tree obstacle course with the 300m slide. We appreciate that they prepared everything, even if we were the only 2 customers. However, there was no explanation about the activity itself and minimal information about the safety measures. The helmets seemed to be for decoration and not for safety, as they were very loose.
In general communication and enthusiasm were lacking. Before and during the activity we didn't know what we could expect. Once on the first platform after the ladder, one of us decided not to proceed. The guide asked if the participant could go back independently, and he did, without the guidance of the staff. In previous experiences in other adventure parks however, staff would always be present to guide, communicate and motivate. Due to the lack of preparation and guidance only one of us participated, which made the activity double the price while none of the staff even suggested a refund for the incomplete service that was offered.
Perhaps the staff can learn to have a more enthusiastic and professional attitude, and at least learn to communicate about the safety measures and the activity itself.
Apart from that, the location is amazing and the type and amount of activities that are normally offered are impressive. The one that did the activity thought it was a very short trail, but enjoyed the obstacles...
Read moreYou need reservations to visit, so be sure to call a few days before. We visited on a Monday in August and it wasn’t busy, but they were fully booked the week before.
They have an amazing set-up which allows them to accommodate several age groups and group sizes.
Our twins are very adventurous, so this was perfect first us! Additionally, they had plenty of staff that spoke English, which was a real help! We are learning Portuguese, but have a long way to go!
The girls both loved the zip line the most, but we caught the biggest smiles on the horses! Their biggest sense of accomplishment was walking the ropes course in the tree canopy, while climbing the rock wall gave them the most fright! LOL!
There is a cafe and bar available. When closed, there are vending machines for snacks and coffee. We brought our own picnic lunch and it was perfect.
The staff did make sure that the kids paid attention to safety instructions and even threatened to remove them from the activity of they couldn’t pay attention amd follow the instructions! I LOVED THAT! They could get seriously hurt if they don’t follow instructions so I was perfectly fine with this! Thank you Azurara!
Restrooms are clean. Some of the wood is old and the stairs at the zip-line seemed dangerous. They also had a charcoal grill on an old dry wooden deck. So, there are definitely a few safety hazards, so be cautious of when visiting.
Overall, we still give it a 5 star review. We are looking forward to...
Read moreThe activity park had potential, but the activities themselves were too simple and lacked excitement. It would have been great to see more creativity and variety. The park was completely empty during our visit, which made it feel a bit abandoned. One of the biggest disappointments was the walk to the activities: what could have been a scenic and pleasant stroll was ruined by the smell of horse droppings scattered along the way. While the activities area itself didn’t smell, the poorly maintained path really took away from the experience. With better activities, more vibrant surroundings, and improved maintenance, this park could offer...
