The Sheikh Abdulla bin Jassim Al-Thani Palace was constructed in the early 20th century as both a residence and the government seat for Sheikh Abdulla bin Jassim Al-Thani, who ruled Qatar from 1913 to 1949. Reflecting traditional Qatari architecture, the palace features remarkable elements such as intricately carved wooden doors, wind towers (barjeel) for natural ventilation, and spacious courtyards.
