Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review:
My recent stay at the Good Hotel was an absolute delight! Despite being categorized as a three-star hotel, it exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a secure and family-friendly accommodation in close proximity to the National Museum and within walking distance to the metro, look no further.
The hotel's dedication to safety and security was evident from the moment we arrived. The well-trained and attentive staff made us feel completely at ease, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and worry-free. They went above and beyond to address our needs and were always available to provide assistance or answer any questions we had.
Location-wise, the Good Hotel couldn't be better situated. The fact that it's within walking distance to the National Museum was a significant plus for us, as we were able to explore Qatar's rich history and culture without any transportation hassles. Additionally, the close proximity to the metro station made it incredibly convenient to travel to other parts of the city and explore its many attractions.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional buffet breakfast offered at the hotel. The variety and quality of the food were truly impressive. From local delicacies to international favorites, there was something to satisfy every palate. The breakfast spread provided a great start to our day and fueled us for the adventures that lay ahead.
What truly sets the Good Hotel apart is its outstanding staff. The level of service and genuine hospitality they extended to us was exemplary. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone greeted us with a warm smile and ensured that our needs were met promptly. Their knowledge of the area and willingness to offer recommendations and directions further enhanced our overall experience.
While the Good Hotel may fall under the three-star category, its dedication to guest satisfaction and attention to detail make it stand out among its peers. It offers a safe and secure environment for families, and its convenient location near the National Museum and metro station is a major advantage. Add to that the cooperative and friendly staff and the delightful buffet breakfast, and you have all the ingredients for a memorable stay.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Good Hotel for families seeking a comfortable and secure accommodation option in Qatar. It's a hidden gem that offers exceptional service, close proximity to attractions, and a delightful breakfast experience. I cannot praise the staff enough for their warmth and professionalism. Rest assured, your stay at the Good Hotel will exceed your expectations and leave you with...
Read moreI had stayed in the Hampton by Hilton for two days, unfortunately, it was nothing like my previous stays. To begin with the hotel's breakfast, there is no option for fresh eggs. It is extremely limited to which I only ate fruit. Secondly, there was a very unpleasant experience and unprofessional welcome by two ladies Florintyna and Fiona, which I had posted about but the managed Yildiz insisted I remove the comment. He tried his best to resolve the situation but the only way the situation could be resolved is if the two ladies sincerely apologized for the unacceptable behaviour they portrayed. They intentionally mocked me to my face, did not smile even though I was extremely polite, spoke in their language about me, In front of me, not knowing I understood. I wouldn't ever put my fellow receptionists in a negative spotlight but this is a part of hotel standards the first thing is to smile and be professional. I am now in human resources and deem this behaviour unacceptable as it was targeted towards me for no reason. I observed their interactions with other guests to my surprise they could actually smile and explained the facilities. I received dirty looks, eyes rolling leaving an overwhelming feeling of negativity. I have been to many properties all over the world but it is the first time I've experienced this treatment. I only found out that they would clean the windows by hearing them explain to other guests. I was left with unprofessional responses and uncertainty as to why I was targeted by such cruel treatment, I am merely a guest. I understand if someone is having a bad day, I would've let it go but this was all evidently intentional. I have amended a previous comment filled with anger but this is something I simply cannot let go of being an HR manager I believe Yildiz tried his best, tried filling me with amenities I denied all of them as all I actually wanted was a sincere apology from these ladies. They had their opportunity to, however, just continued with judgemental stares and comments throughout my stay. Yildiz, this is directly linked to the hotel as they are the face when a guest enters, a warm welcome, a smile goes a long way. All guests should be fairly and equally treated, I wasn't. The standards which weren't followed: welcoming the guest with a smile, explaining all inclusions, unfair treatment and discrimination, explaining any maintenance which will occur during their stay, mentioning the room number, mentioning the breakfast time and the location. All this was extremely unnecessary. My stay was overall terrible due to this behaviour, however, the other employees were extremely kind and always smiled. The security team is lovely and the location is situated in the heart of touristic...
Read moreMy kids and I stayed at this hotel because I had a 17 hour layover in Doha this past week. The hotel and room itself were clean and descent for our stay but I did have an administrative nightmare after checking in. I booked a room for two nights since we were arriving in Doha at 7:00 am and I knew we would not be able to check in till later. We were going to need the room earlier to catch up on some much needed sleep. I used points for one of the nights and paid cash for the other. While checking in, the employee at the front desk confirmed that I was using points for one of my nights and paying cash for the other. We seemed to be on the same page regarding the terms of my booking. After checking in and heading over to breakfast, the employee who checked us in tracked us down at our breakfast table carrying a credit card reader. He told us that the points I had used to book the one evening of our stay had been turned back over to me because instead of checking in in-person the day before I had been considered as a no show. I was extremely annoyed and humiliated that this was happening at my breakfast table with my kids present. I also tried to explain that I had checked in on line and this was an issue on behalf of the hotel not me. I felt strong armed to pay cash instead of using the points as the employee continued to hover over my breakfast table. I am a mom and was traveling with my two kids in a foreign country and the whole experience made me feel extremely uneasy. The hotel employee insisted that it was in my favor to pay cash instead of using my points. When asked how this was in my favor, he shut down and kept insisting I pay cash. Additionally, when I asked how much I owed since the points were returned to me, the hotel employee claimed he did not know and made me look up my credit card transactions to see how much I had already paid for the one night. He looked over my shoulder the whole time and it felt incredibly predatory. At the end, I felt pressured to pay cash and did so because he would not leave us alone until after I did. This is the type of experience I expect from a two star hotel no one has ever heard of not a reputable international hotel operated by Hilton. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I feel on uneven ground through out...
