In the middle of one of the most beautiful residential zone of Bucarest, between Piata Dorobantilor, romanian Television area, and boulevard Aviatorilor, the Zambaccian Museum is a wonderful discovery for painting and sculpture lovers. The bigest romanian painters and sculptors of the 19th and 20th centuries are present, in the magnificent and well preserved architectural Zambaccian villa... he was a great romanian 'mecena', so we discovered paintings of Grigorescu, Luchian, Tonitza, Baba, Andreescu, Aman, and others, impressive. But also, a litle surprisingly, several Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Picasso....whoaw. We were walking in the environments, when we 'fell' on the museum and decided to enter. Wonderful atmosphere, calm, really inspiring visit, an encounter with the best romanian and european art of the 19th and 20th centuries... just take...

A hidden gem inside one of the most beautiful districts in Bucharest. The staff is very nice and will instruct you what to do at the beginning (they have a wardrobe to ensure you're comfortable during your visit). They also advise you to read the history (and i strongly suggest you do - you'll better understand the museum). Some of the paintings here are renowned and a must-see. They are artistic milestones of romanian culture and show different moments in each painter's history. Also, it is not a big museum that take all your day to visit, but a compact one in a very lovely environment. I really loved this place - might be my favourite museum...

Excelent, cu colecții surprinzător de bogate și extrem de valoroase. Casa are o arhitectură impresionantă și o curte plina de sculpturi ale unor sculptori consacrați. Prima miercuri din lună muzeul se vizitează gratuit.
