Hotel Triumf — Hotel in Bucharest

Review is strictly for the terrace restaurant.

Location is very good and the actual terrace and ambience are very nice and quiet. The service was good and the waiters attentive.

The food was edible but fairly miserable. Our table had some mici and a caprese salad. The mici were cooked and were fone, but really lacked a good intense flavour and had no smokiness to them at all. The caprese salad was fairly disastrous; it had mint leaves instead of basil, the pesto served with it seemed very off, and the mozzarella was a little hard for a salad. Prices angled a little high for what it is.

I think there is a lot of potential here, given the nice location and space, but I cannot recommend the terrace for anything more than drinks. Unless something changes, and I do hope so, I don't think I...

I needed a last minute accommodation and I booked it without thinking. Check in was smooth and easy. I was surprised my single room was actually a big room divided into a few compartments - Closet, bedroom and bathroom. The AC and wifi work perfectly. Everything was spotless and clean. The surrounding was quiet and peaceful. It was a perfect base for me to rest and recharge after being on the road for a very long time.

Special shout out to Ioana who's helped me find a taxi driver and made sure I arrived at my destination safely. I really appreciate your warm gesture and hospitability

This hotel is a historic monument and it's state owned (still). It's been built in 1937 by the National Bank and it was initially used for bank's employees. The building has a unique, beautiful architectural style, specific to the period of time in which it was built. The rooms keep a vintage, cozy and charming aspect, with old furniture, windows and doors, bathroom fixtures etc. Everything is maintained clean and functional though.
