Nuba Cafe — Restaurant in Bucharest

I recently visited the place on the 8th of January. We initially wanted to order some food as well, however we were in a rush and we went for smoothies only (which were decently good). We only ordered that and spent 20 minutes at the place. I paid by card at the end and wanted to leave, when the waiter stopped me by the door and told me that "the service is not included" and showed me a second receipt which was stating the optional tip. When I told them that I don't carry cash (I live abroad, and I am not used to carrying cash at all), they stopped listening to me and mocked me saying "just so you know for the next time", made an angry face and left.

I find this behaviour outrageous, I have dined in places all around the world, from London to San Francisco to Singapore, and not once have I been disrespected like this. I think this is a symptom of this high-end, unjustified pricey places in Bucharest, where the waiters believe you owe them the world for doing their job (it's not even like they did an awesome job, and at the end of the day it's on me if I want to leave a tip or not). A Wonderful Experience at Nuba Cafe

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nuba Cafe, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. When I entered someone asked immediately how he could help me. The fast response is a plus.👍 They have options for smokers and non-smokers. Again, a big plus for me.

I was waiting for someone (my partner) and the waiter didn't rush to come until she was there. I appreciate it when I have time to look at the menu 👍

We ordered some sweet potatoes with sauce and a halloumi salad with 2 cups of tea. My friend wanted a chamomile tea but they were out of it. I understand that it's not a teahouse but they should put the tea on the menu. The salad was really really good and my friend enjoyed the sweet potato plate with the spicy mayonnaise sauce.

Later I went to use the bathroom and in the middle one the cover of the toilet support just dropped when I pulled normally a single sheet (please take care of that fault).

Besides that mentioned issue, the serving was very good, the food great, atmosphere - I would recommend some jazzy, soul and phunky music during the evening...
