Muzeul Ştiinţei şi Tehnicii „Ştefan Procopiu” — Attraction in Iași Metropolitan Area

We bought 2 tickets for all the sections : the full price is 40 ron, we were asked to pay 60 with some discount but actually got tickets worth 50 lei. We paid by card, but I imagine that even so they probably find a way to keep the difference of money, as with cash it's obvious. Really sad when museum people do something like this or ask for your tickets as you go out (astra museum Sibiu, another big one). The exhibition about sound was interesting. The museum is particularly engaging if you are interested in technology. The exhibit variety is bound to pique your interest: phonographs, retro photo cameras and computers, and even antique music boxes.

I highly recommend it if you are passionate about technology. Still, even if you aren't, a device or gadget is bound to catch your attention, and you'll soon be engrossed in the history and evolution of the respective gadget. I especially recommend the computer, and photography sections as some first iterations are presents in the museum.

Acest muzeu, cu puține săli dar în care se poate petrece mult timp, este unul interesant, dar se adresează mai ales celor ce sunt deja familiarizati cu elemente de inginerie și tehnică. Exemplu: există pe pereți informații detaliate despre istoria diodelor, incluzând explicații ale invoaților cheie și chiar diagrame despre componentele diodelor și triodelor ... dar nu am văzut informații despre ce este și la ce se foloseşte de fapt o diodă, sau explicații accesibile despre principiile din spatele funcționării diverselor aparate care altfel sunt prezentate extins (aparate radio, electrocasnice din secolul trecut, computere, etc.). Este genul de muzeu care ar face o mai mare plăcere pasionaților de domenii tehnice si tehnologie in general, care pot aprecia detalii ale numeroaselor iterații ale diverselor aparate și evoluția subtilă de-a lungul timpului, nu genul de muzeu unde copiii sau cei "neinițiați" în fizică și inginerie se pot educa cu privire la diverse fenomene de bază şi aplicații ale acestor domenii în viața de zi cu zi de-a lungul ultimelor secole (ex: să afle spre exemplu despre undele radio, sau despre cum functionează ca mecanism obiectele expuse: aspirator, uscător de păr, chiar...
