We stayed at the hotel in early May, large and reasonable rooms, the furniture outdated and in need of improvement, the shower reasonable but often with the smell of sewage. The air conditioner in the room was noisy and not cool the room. It was necessary to ask the receptionists to instruct the operators to allow the air condition to operate. At night, it would stop cooling and the reception told us when the temperature dropped below a certain level it stops automatic And the heat in the room was unbearable and you had to sleep with an open window with all the noises around and the loud music from the nearby pub. Breakfast was average, the waiters seemed more busy cleaning the tables than filling trays that had emptied. Whoever came after nine o'clock would not find much, and the time for breakfast was until ten o'clock. The reception staff is courteous and readily filled with any request. The hotel lobby and entrance are poor and require improvement, the doors are not automatic, making it difficult for people with wheelchairs to enter the hotel. The hotel has free private parking for guests of the hotel and is also available for guests who are invited to pay. The place requires a great improvement in maintenance even though it is on a three-star level. The price you need is a bit expensive for what you get. The good thing about the hotel is its central location. We do not think we'll go back...
Read moreTo be frank, I expected it to be worse. But the hotel is clean, rooms are OK, comfortable enough and it has the best location ever for Iasi, both for business and touristic travels. Yes, everything is outdated and it looks as it probably looked in the '70s, but it's well maintained. If you're a communist era nostalgic or want to experience this type of era, Moldova Hotel is the place to be. I actually enjoyed it (although the furniture was probably older than me lol)! Bathroom was renovated (kinda) and clean. Staff was nice, breakfast was OK for 3 star. Do get a room with view, it's probably the best view in Iasi. The biggest pluses of this hotel are: the view, the price (affordable) and free gym&pool (did not use them). Parking is also available in front of the hotel. Would not recommend to those seeking modern/fancy accommodations or for romantic trips. It's good for solo travelers, maybe for not very pretentious business travelers.||There's no socket near bed, actually just one socket in the whole room.||AC didn't seem powerful enough (and it was May and not very hot).||Creepy dark reception area.||Wifi did not...
Read moreThe view makes all the money! If you are visiting the city and want to enjoy the whole city center and be able to admire it from the balcony, then this is the place where you should sleep.||The parking lot is very narrow, congested and you have to struggle a little to be able to fit into that tight space. The cost is 10 lei/hour if you are not staying in the hotel, otherwise it is free.||The rooms are small, smell bad, the bathroom was not clean enough - the shower tub gets clogged. The furniture is old, the slippers uncomfortable.||The breakfast was good, but the staff is not careful to make sure there is enough for everyone - I had to stop someone every time to ask for what I needed.||The swimming pool in the hotel is not dedicated to the hotel's clients - it is the same as the one used by the clients of the gym, it is crowded and you cannot relax.||The cost of the room is too high - approx. 300 lei / night with...
