Response: we NEVER requested 20% pork, we requested the flavors of brats only! Everything else was made based off what you normally do. We brought our product to you because of your reputation, which is why we are so disappointed. We have 40+ years of experience cooking duck meat and 30+ years of cooking ducks brats specificity in our family that we had made by other butchers. We have NEVER had an issue, ever. If you are stating that the meat was bad, I sure hope you would not process meat knowing it was bad!
None of this is slander, nothing we are saying is false it is simply facts. The hunting community needs to know so that they are not also disappointed. We will be giving them to anyone who wants to try it, they will gladly review it as well since you are standing behind your products.
Want to start off by saying âTo be clear this is not just about a refund, it is about the fact that all of all of our duck meat was ruined and a disgusting tasting product was made!!!!
We contacted Roseville Meat Company yesterday to let them know that the duck brats that we had made through them did not taste good at all, and honestly tasted like really bad liver. The owner asked me to bring the product back in because he needed to check it and taste it first. She brought them into today and the owner came out yelling/angry at her and said he was not giving us a refund because we posted about them on Facebook. He proceeded to tell me that they donât even like to do duck meatâŠ.. which I proceeded to ask âwhy would you guys offer to make the product if you do t like to do itâ? He stated he does whatever the customer asks for, so again repeated, âbut why would you offer to make a product that you donât even like to do because you know youâre not good at it!!!!!!!!â He then said I can fix it. When I asked him how he would do that, he said unfreezing it all, mix other stuff in and re run it through the processor and refreezing it all. I refused. First that seems NOT safe by food handling safety standards, second there is no way we are trusting you to make it right after the first mess up!!!
Timeline for clarity

Read moreOur family has been coming to this meat market for years. It has always been great service and great products, unfortunately todays visit was not the same. The store had a rancid smell upon entering (so bad I had to cover my nose and mouth with my sweatshirt), the employees were rude, unhelpful, and unknowledgeable. We usually order a fresh Branigans Turkey for thanksgiving. My Mother in law called this year and asked to order a âFreshâ Turkey, she was informed that they only had smaller ones but nothing else. When we went to pick up her âfreshâ Turkey today, she was brought a frozen Turkey. My MIL asked the young man if this was a fresh Turkey, and he said âYes, it was just delivered yesterday and we just have to thaw them.â Apparently our definitions of fresh is very different. And they are no longer doing business with Branigans. When your customers have been ordering the same thing for years, the decent thing to do is to make an announcement or let people know. While this is going on the phone is ringing off the hook, the (who is can only assume) manager is yelling from the office, where is so and so. The employees yell back, sheâs on break. I heard him tell the customer on the phone to call back in 10 minutes and ask for the said employee and she would help them. What kind of service is that? He was more worried about taking off for lunch.
I hope this was just a fluke visit but somehow I donât think so. Looking for a new...
Read moreArrived at the store where 3 employees came to my truck to check my pig in that was very carefully prepared. I mentioned they should run a hook through the ham but Insisted on putting a string through both hams to hoist it. The string then ripped through the hams dropping my cleaned pig on the dirty concrete outside. One man then picked it up and put in on his shoulder while they wiped it off leaving dirt and debris still on the pig. They then put it in a tub and weighed it in at 143 pounds and the person seemed uncomfortable weighing it. Then I walked with someone else to go through how I would like it butchered. I said 20 pounds of snack sticks, 20 pounds of Italian links, 10 pounds of breakfast sausage, and grind the rest. I got a call the next day that the pig was only 89 pounds and they would address all that was in the tag then just grind what was left. The tag shows 89 pounds with 22 pounds of waste. I received 14.5 pounds of snack sticks, 20 pounds of links, and 18 pounds of strait grind including 1 grind bag of Italian. Thatâs 52.5 pounds of meat total and I paid 468.75 = 9.00 bucks a pound ! I didnât get any breakfast sausage at all. I have heard of other instances like this with other customers I know but now experiencing it myself I will go back to other butchers in the area and never give them my...
