I cannot recommend this establishment, as I and others have repeatedly been made uncomfortable by the owners. I am a respectful and frequent patron; however, on multiple occasions I have been approached shortly after finishing a coffee and told that I must make an additional purchase in order to remain. On these occasions, the owners did not bother to check with their baristas to confirm that I had recently purchased a drinkāanother instance of poor judgment and lack of due diligence if this truly was their concern. At the same time, I have consistently observed larger, louder groupsāoften without drinks or food in front of themāallowed to remain without any challenge. To date, I have not witnessed non-people of color being confronted in this way.
In another instance, I observed staff addressing a group of people of color in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. They were told to quiet down and, in a condescending tone, warned that their conversations could be ābroadcastā if they did not comply. This treatment was markedly different from how other patrons were handled, and after speaking to them it was clear that both the group and myself deeply uncomfortable. In addition, I have now spoken directly with 7 other individuals who each described experiencing similar treatment or incidents over the last few months, and I have documented their accounts as well.
As further evidence, during a recent visit I was quietly recording myself taking work notes when I was again confronted by the owner about my presence and perceived loitering. That entire interaction is documented on video.
These repeated incidents point to a clear and troubling pattern of behavior that disproportionately is focused on POC. Such practices create an environment that is unwelcoming, unfair, and inconsistent. I have been a loyal patron for some time, and while the rest of the staff are lovely, why would one continue to return to a place where many people of color are repeatedly disrespected?

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time visitor and I plan on coming back for more. We were a party of three and we were greeted with a friendly smile and a nice hello.
We ordered a couple of latte's and a Thai Iced coffee. I was surprised by how quick they got our order out and personally delivered our drinks to our table. The only shop so far that has done so in the Roseville area. It was a relief since I have a reputation for spilling half of my drink and ruining the beautiful latte art these talented barista have created. So, that was a pleasant surprise. Not sure if they usually do that or just for us since we were seated near the front counter, but it was appreciated.
The hot latte I ordered was terrific and my friends drinks did not disappoint. We were also treated to some live music by a patron playing his guitar. They usually have live music on Friday nights so that was kind of cool. I would definitely recommend this shop to all my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLaid back, cozy and eclectic. Tasty food and snacks with all the standard coffee shop drinks and a few unique and intriguing options as well. What a great little coffee shop tucked in the heart of downtown Roseville. The atmosphere is very mellow with a sort of rustic, eclectic and local vibe. They have a good variety of musicians playing many evenings & open mic nights; as well as tables set aside for puzzle building, art, studying, reading and so on. Free WiFi is available of course and a wide variety of comfy seating options. Their coffees, teas, drinks, pastries, salads and snacks are not just an after thought. They've taken the time to curate a good sampling of beverages and foods to make you want to stop in just for that, but the atmosphere and staff will make you want to stay and hang out for a while. I give this place a wholehearted recommendation and can't wait to...
