They 3 guys behind the counter have no idea what customer service is. Being local and starting to build a train with my 8 year old, I was figuring this would be my "go to" shop. No, not the case. I will not spend a dime here. No acknowledgement when I walked in, no offer to help, nothing. Just one guy coming down the isle I was on where the building kits are and looking to see if I was shoplifting? He went right down past me circled up the next isle and went back to doing nothing at the counter. Now mind you I am in my 50's and wearing a business suit at the time....It sucks this is the last real brick and mortar shop in the Sacramento area but I will mail order everything we need or buy it on trips out of town before I spend one penny here. Not going to shed a tear when they go out of business.....bottom...
Read moreI’d love to rate this place higher. I’ve purchased numerous high end Lionel engines and rolling stock through the years from them. I always feel like I’m intruding or a bother to them? Way less expensive and imagine that friendly and helpful! Such a shame they are in such a...
Read moreMy husband spends quite a bit on his RR hobby but says he will never shop at Railroad Hobbies again. When he first shopped there, 3 years ago, they were rude and unhelpful so he stopped shopping there then about 1 1/2 years ago customer service got better and so did their reviews so he started going there again. As of yesterday, however, they seem to be back to their old ways. No greeting, no help, no courtesy at all, and that is that. He would rather drive 35 miles to Western Depot than ever set foot in RR Hobbies again. There are options out there that don't treat their customers so poorly. We strongly recommend you ...
