Es un bello parque arbolado y recorrerlo es un placer. Hay tanto para ver que es difícil concentrarlo en una reseña. Исаакиевская площадь - главная площадь Санкт-Петербурга. Организация ЮНЕСКО подтвердила уникальность архитектурного ансамбля площади, включив его в Список всемирного наследия. Официально название площади было присвоено Решением "Комиссии о Санкт–Петербургском строении" в 1738 году. Особняки и дворцы стали появляться на площади с 1742 года. Мечтая превратить Санкт–Петербург в самый восхитительный город мира, император Александр I собирал под своё покровительство талантливейших архитекторов и инженеров строительного дела своего времени. Карл Иванович Росси вносил весьма интересные предложения в планировку площади и даже разработал два собственных плана в 1847 году. Некоторые элементы из них воплотил в жизнь Монферан. Свои собственные проекты он представлял в 1820, 1825, 1844 годах. И, наконец, вариант обустройства Исаакиевкой площади, представленный в 1855 году, был утверждён императором Александром II в 1856 году. Практически в этом виде, с изменениями и дополнениями, её облик существует и поныне. Исаакиевская площадь объединила в единый архитектурный ансамбль абсолютно разные по стилю, предназначению и времени возведения постройки: Исаакиевский собор, Исаакиевский сквер, Памятник императору Николаю I, Мариинский дворец, два здания Министерства государственных имуществ, Здание Германского посольства, Дом Мятлевых, Доходный дом Китнера, Особняк Зубова, Особняк Миллера, Конногвардейский манеж, Дом Лобанова–Ростовского, Доходный дом Шиля, Гостиница...
