the amount of people in the reviews claiming it is old or has never been renovated are either out of touch with reality, absolutely oblivious or too young to have witnessed it in its old shape this is what it used to look like before renovation, which was direly needed back then, id say what we have now is definitely an upgrade and does it job as intended why should old be a bad thing? its definitely a lot more modern now than it used to be, or certain other bridges that remain unchanged today these photos dont show a lot of open reinforcement that was crumbling and giant open cracks which were a big hazard, that currently are not present looking up "rekonstrukcija gazele" can show a pdf which goes in depth in why it NEEDED reconstruction and what they did in order to achieve that, as well as other articles talking about the much needed reconstruction this bridge is pretty new for what it used to be and complaining about it is quite dumbfounded to the effort to keep it running and looking good but to be fair, looking into it more, it seems that it is being neglected yet again. its pillars are beginning to chip off, the insides are visible, and for one of the most overworked bridges that makes a valid concern. i dont think they will fix it again, i honestly have to agree it needs rework again. i wrote this entire thing because im extremely passionate for this bridge and this bridge only, and i cant deny the flaws. if anything, they will just leave it to rot and build a brand new one, which is the biggest shame this city would go through if that ends up being true. this was discussed in 2022 and i do not think there has been any improvements ever since, but i sincerely hope the bridge never gets demolished....
Read moreGazela je najprometniji beogradski most iznad reke Save.
Most je kombinacija grede i oluka, dugačak 332 m, a širok 27,5 m.
Most je otvoren 4. decembra 1970. u prisustvu Josipa Broza Tita i Branka Pešića.
