Purchasing tickets at Postojna Cave was a seamless and pleasant experience that set the tone for the adventure ahead. The ticket store is located right next to the main entrance, easy to find, and well-organized. Even with a steady flow of visitors, everything moved efficiently thanks to clear signage and helpful staff.

Although online booking is also available and highly recommended during busy periods. The staff were welcoming, spoke excellent English, and explained the different ticket options, including combo packages that cover additional sights like Predjama Castle.

What I appreciated most was the detailed information provided at the ticket counter — they explain the tour timings, meeting points, and even suggest how to plan extra activities if you have more time in the area. It made organizing our visit stress-free.

The standard cave ticket includes an exciting electric train ride and a guided walking tour. While the live guides are very knowledgeable, the audio guide available in multiple languages is also an excellent option. I found the audio guide particularly helpful for getting deeper insights without feeling rushed, and it allows you to enjoy the magical surroundings at your own pace.

Unstrukturierter und unflexibler Service bei der Ticketkontrolle und -ausgabe. Wir hatten um 11.00 Uhr den Eintritt gebucht und als wir an der Reihe vorbeigingen, die auf den Einlass um 11.30 Uhr gewartet hatte, wurden wir daraufhingewiesen, dass wir uns hinten anstellen sollten, sodass wir 11.00 Uhr nicht einchecken konnten. Um 11.30 Uhr wurde uns dann gesagt, dass die Tickets nicht mehr Gültigkeit besitzen und wir zum Ticketschalter 300m zurücklassen müssen, um neue Tickets zu kaufen. Auch hier gab es kaum Flexibilität, sodass wir einerseits 10€ zahlen ind andererseits eine Stunde warten mussten. Die ganze Odyssee mit einem 4 Monate alten Säugling in der Trage. Wäre die Attraktion nicht so gut bewertet, wären wir mit Sicherheit gegangen. Zudem sind die Preise alles andere als...

Der Ticketshop grenzt an Touristen-Abzocke. Man erhält kurz vor der gebuchten Zeit eine E-Mail, dass man 30 Minuten vor der Zeit am Einlass sein soll und man andernfalls keinen Einlass mehr erhält. Man wird weiterhin aufgefordert in diesem Fall eine neue Zeit zu buchen, dabei ist jedoch keine Verschiebung um 30 Minuten möglich, sondern lediglich nur auf weitere freie Zeitfenster, so dass sich hier stundenlange Wartezeiten ergeben.

Die Höhle insgesamt ist dermaßen überlaufen und für den Massentourismus ausgelegt, dass man sich wie Vieh fühlt.

Ich würde die Höhle nicht weiter empfehlen. Slowenien hat so viel schöne Natur zu bieten, dass man auf diese Touristen-Abzocke...
