Read moreUtterly revolting and disgraceful on every level. This "park" in the heart of our city is a dump and a blemish in the heart of PE. Wow. What must tourists think of our city? Nurses from the hospital spend their lunchtime in the park...parents with sick children in the hospital or people who've lost a loved one would seek a bit of solace in the peace of the park....however, the "park" is in a state of ruin. It looks excessively dangerous and unkempt. There is loose paving with gaping ditches all over where supposed work is being done. The ponds are empty and overgrown with weeds. Worst of all there is so much litter everywhere it looks as if it is a dumping facility. The centre pond has loose rickety fencing around and is begging for a child to push through and drown in the pollution-infested, overgrown pond. I remember the days when this park was beautiful and everyone flocked to it to walk under the cool trees, look at the flowers, have a picnic etc. Now you'll be lucky if you don't get mugged or end up needing a tetanus shot by the time you walk out of the broken gates! This is the most dreadful advertisement for our city....
