⛱️ 🌊 Umhlanga Rocks Beach with its beautiful locations, the promenade, main beach and kilometers of beaches north- and southwards (almost til Durban), a must do at all seasons, but I very like March to June. Good weather conditions and less tourists , but Easter. Walking, lingering at all times of a day on the promenade and/or walking along the beach , due to the weather bathing or at least holding your tip of your feet in the water. I liked to have an early morn walk through the uMhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve in the North. A little bit of jungle atmosphere and finally hearing the roaring sound of the Indic ( esp. at high tide), running downstairs through the sand aheading the breakers....

Resting upon the shoes of the great Indian Ocean lies the one and only Umhlanga Rocks beach, a major tourist spot in Durban and arguably the most beautiful beach in South Africa. From the glamorous sunrise of dawn to the vermillion sunset of dusk, this beach is certainly the place to be on a relaxing summers day. The beach is famous for both of Durban's most Iconic landmarks, The Umhlanga Pier and the Umhlanga Lighthouse. The Pier has been listed by CNN as one of the worlds most beautiful piers. Numerous Hotels and resorts lie on the beach front of which tourists can enjoy splendid views straight from their...

It's a beautiful beach to relax at with family or go for a walk. My kids had a blast playing in the sand and the water while my hubby got a chance to fish. The weather was perfect today. It did get a bit busy towards the evening but it wasn't too bad. It's always lovely to get to see Whalebone Pier and the lighthouse while relaxing on the beach, having a great time. The beach is very clean and there's plenty of shops and restaurants within...

Something about the view of the ocean here... On your far right you have the city, Moses Mabhida from the great distance looks awesome On the left, you have uMhlanga... In front, the vast deep blue sea... Seeing those ships in the distance, hard reminder that there's more to life than the problems that tend to cloud our immediate vision. Breathtaking scenery indeed. Would make for fantastic visits Friday afternoons...
