Miami Spur — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

Did not wait to get seated, got offered a waiter shortly after we got seated, waiter took our orders without noting them down or repeating them. A few minutes later when we thought our order was being prepared, a different waiter came to our table supposedly to confirm our order claiming it's just for confirmation as our order was already being prepared. While explainin that the different waiter was not in a condition to service, the 1st waiter brought the toasted bread n claimed the rest of the order will follow. Waited for quite a while, the 2nd waiter came to remove the toasted bread from our table, shortly after that 2 different tables were qued, one on our left and the other on our right hand side. As we waited for the food the 1st waiter came bringing us coffee with dirty saucers n when made him aware he made a funny comment but removed the saucers anyway as the dirt was visible to him too. The 2 tables that were qued after ours got their food while we waited having just coffee that got cold as we waited for our food. We hd to bring this to the attention of one of the managers when we realised that it took longer than expected to get our meals and that the 2 tables qued after ours had already gotten their meals and she also made mention of the fact that it was was unacceptable.at one stage the initial waiter confessed to not being in a position to assist us as he had an event of some sort the previous day/night and we are not sure what he was reffering to,he mentioned that he asked a fellow colleague to assist him/us as he was in no position to.we at some point had to use the fork to stir our coffee as no spoons were provided, we offered more coffee but this time around the cold milk for one of the coffees was off, another cup had to be done. Generally the service was very poor, n we just sat and ate because we looked foward to having breakfast there, were were already even more hungry to move when we realized the amount of time we had wasted waiting...

We have been regular patrons of this restaurant because we've always enjoyed the food. .... especially the wings and the steak. .... however, yesterday evening we were really disappointed. The steaks lacked seasoning, appeared to have been defrosted from a previously frozen state because there was still a watery substance draining from the medium rare steaks. The restaurant wasn't really busy but we had to wait a pretty long time for service. We sat on the balcony...which is lovely....apart from the broom and big dustpan with dirt in it almost right behind me.... we had the table right by the glass doors . Incidently, there was an insect in one of our drinks.... though this is forgivable considering we were outside....and the waitress did give us another drink when we brought it to her attention. We had a very lukewarm experience and don't look forward to going back. Perhaps these comments will lead to a restoration of the standards we had become accustomed to at this Spur Restaurant. Kind ...

I get that it was closing time and everyone is eagar to leave...... Story time: our waitress sat us down 30mins before closing, explaining it would be fine to finish our meals while they were closing up even if it's after 10pm. She was still happy to assist, great! So, We got our food to us in just over 15minutes from ordering (we already knew what we were having so it wasn't much time wasted there) however on the dot 10pm our bill was brought to us while we were still eating which is understandable as they need to close their tills however she then came back to our table immediately after paying the bill without saying a word and while we were in the middle of our meals to take away the sauces and cutlery on the table which i thought was extremely rude, to the point where she took away a kinfe I was using which I just sat down on the sideplatw to take a sip of my drink which I needed to finish my meal. I asked for another only to be told no they're closed. We took the rest home as a take away, ( bare in mind we were not the only table there after...
