803 The Bermudas — Hotel in KwaZulu-Natal

Stayed there over a weekend (Thursday- Sunday). On arrival, the lifts weren't working, and we were not going to walk up 8 flights of stairs, even though one of the maintenance guys offered to walk up carrying our bags. We then sat at reception for a bit, and our bags were safely stowed in the office while we took in the view. A few minutes later, all was sorted, and we were able to go up to the unit. Upon arrival, the unit was spotless! The cleaning lady made sure we came back to a fresh, spotless unit everyday, which we appreciated. She even re-made the bed one of the days 😀 Location is ideal as it is 3 mins from oceans mall, and the restaurant strip, with a walk on access...

Nice place and ideal for a holiday, perfect Seaview as well. However the cleaners are terrible as they cant even just properly make up a bed! I constantly had to speak to the manager to ask them to remove their cleaning material as they just leave wet mobs and buckets with dirty water in the room. But the worst experience is to find out that room service does not include washing dishes, which we tried to accommodate but honestly who wants to do dishes while on vacation!!! They provided only 1 dishcloth which we had to share all the 6 of us!! Nobody came to welcome us at the reception as promised as well. Was...

In terms of location you can't do a lot better in Umhlanga. If you are planning to spend time on the beach you can't get much closer. All of the apartments that I've seen have been clean and well maintained but some are awkwardly layed out (with for example 1tiny shared bathroom and 1huge bathroom in the main bedroom) but otherwise I'd happily recommend...
