Debonairs Pizza Lagoon Drive — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

I placed an order at around 18:30 on the 30th of September 2024 & scheduled delivery for 21:00. Shortly, I received a call from the store where I was informed that the driver would be leaving at 20:30 & I was asked if it was okay to schedule delivery for that time to which I was okay with. I received a call at 19:30 again where I was informed that my order had been cancelled due to the heavy rains as the driver wouldn’t be able to make deliveries. I’m human, so I understood that situation but then I was told my refund would only be sent the next day because the manager was not in store. Went here with my group of friends for dinner. The lady taking down our order was not paying attention and very uninterested. She was more concerned about talking to the kitchen staff. We confirmed what we wanted and paid. When our meal was ready she got our order completely wrong. She gave us 2 of the same pizza's and a beef pizza, we don't eat beef, the only thing that was right was the veg pizza. Mind you we paid for 4 large pizza's all different toppings. You have no idea the tears ( a slight exaggeration, just one tear) this Debonairs branch has brought to my eyes. My favourite go to dish is the something meaty; that signature sauce with the pepperoni gets me everytime. I was heartbroken for a few years after Debonairs started changing most of their something meaty meats in the branches near me, also replacing my favourite pepperoni for salami. The new meats aren't bad at all, it just doesn't feel like I'm having a something meaty. For a pepperoni guy such as myself, salami's not bad at all but it just doesn't have the same kick as pepperoni. Who knew a few years later they'd open another branch in Umhlanga, serving the classic something meaty with the classic meats, with generous amounts of the "sauce". I'm still in shock. Please...
