Bronze beach is a smaller alternative to Umhlanga main beach, located further up north form the main beach and more geared to service holidaymakers in the accommodations directly behind it and as far north as the Breakers Resort. It is also the last beach before moving out of the Umhlanga area that is manned by life guards.
Depending on the season the beach is generally a thinner stretch than the main beach, but can become rather busy itself depending on weather conditions. It's a very clean beach and popular as it features some rock pools during low tide. It is also popular with surfers and bodyboarders as it is located away from the Umhlanga pier.

Read moreI pitched up at the apartment. It was not cleaned . Apparently they thought we checking in the next day. I contacted the agent and the owner. It was after 19h00 wen the owner said that it has been cleaned. When I got back to the apartment it was still very dirty. Food on the floors,, linen not changed etc. Obviously the owner thought I wouldn't notice. I felt disappointed, insulted and degraded. Was supposed to be a non smoking apartment but the odour and cigarette Stubbs/boxes indicated otherwise. Wasted my entire Friday night after traveling for 2 &1/2 hours. Had to find alternate accommodation. Owner did not have the decency to apologize. Will never go there again and would never recommend 15...
Read moreGreat beach for kids. Swimming area has a lot of rocks though, so if 🏊ing is your thing, not so great. There is chairs and umbrellas for hire (R35 cash only, at the time of this review). Sand is fairly clean and lifeguards are not pesting bathers like on some beaches, dankie. Its a no-🚬 beach l, if that is a problem (to me its a perk:). I think ocean sea level rise is going to hit this beach hard as high tide is up to the walkway's "barriers"...good...
