Well done to the local community-based Envirofixers and the Durban North Conservancy for fixing up this park. It’s a beautiful open space that’s perfect for a relaxed stroll with the dogs. Most of the invasive alien plants have been cleared and the indigenous plants are making a rapid comeback. We saw and heard plenty of birds including a very regal Black Sparrowhawk. Also many butterflies, grasses and flowers. The paths were neatly trimmed and were not so wide as to detract from the beauty of the forest and grassland patches. Our dogs appreciated the strategic placement of water bowls so they could quench their thirst. The presence of Zapper QR-codes also meant that we could easily make a donation to the conservancy.
