The Blue Train Park — Attraction in Mouille Point

Lovely place for kids of all ages. Not crowded, reasonably priced. About R85 for 3 people to enter +one train ride each Love the jumping castles and especially the kids zip line. Lots of greenery, reusing of natural tree offcuts to make play equipment. Mostly secure area for letting kids run around. Beautiful surroundings in Greenpoint to admire while kids are entertained. Allow birthday parties. There are about 5 wooden tables and benches all over the park.

I do wish there was a smoking section for parents. We were out in open air and there were no "no smoking" signs but I was too concerned that someone else's child would get too close and this would upset the other parents. But for parents like me that had to spend 4 hours in this park without leaving, it would have been easier if I could have just stepped aside for a smoke without being judged, before continuing for a fun day.

Quite big playground composed out of natural materials such as wooden sticks. It's just cute. Don't expect too much of it. Entrance fee is only 20 ZAR per person instead of 45 ZAR per person because the blue train being broken. Doesn't seem like it's going to be fixed ever again unfortunately. Friendly gentleman at the gate. Card payments as well as cash payments possible. Nice to go back to the basics. Where in Europe this would totally not be accepted due to extreme safety rules, here it just fits in. Yes it's not perfect. Yes there might be screws sticking out sightly. Yes, chains are rusty. Yes the inflatable play element as well as the blower were near dead, but it's just cute. Just beware with the zipline. Easy for kids to get their hair tangled into the mechanism or their face to touch the steel cable during the ride. Free restrooms on the free playground next to it. Hope this place...

The customer service is appalling and highly unprofessional.

It took us approximately two weeks to receive quotes and responses via email from the Blue train park and they are not reachable on their cellphone number provided.

After we finally manage to make a booking for my daughter’s birthday party for 4 May 2024 and paid the required fees to confirm the booking, a confirmation email was only sent at 03H00am on 4 May 2024.

The day started overcast and rainy, but gradually cleared up around 11am. We arrived 30 min prior to our booking slot (as advised by them to set up) and noticed they were not open for the day. We tried calling, to no avail.

No communication was received that they will be closed and that our dates will have to be rescheduled.
