Visited on a weekend after lunch. Was nearby for lunch and decided to pop by here for some desserts after lunch. It was weekend but it wasn't crowded. Not sure if it was raining so not really a suitable weather for cold desserts. I walked into the cafe and it was half empty, didn't take long to decide what I wanted as I already decided before coming to this place. Decided to try out the traditional bingsu. Price wise is very reasonable compared to overseas. The size was also quite ok, good for 2 to share but also not too big that 1 person cannot finish it. The flavours were good, I enjoyed the bingsu. The shaved ice was very compact it just kept falling everytime I tried to take a scoop of it. Simple and delicious, the mochi and the red bean on top are just mildly sweet and it's soft to chew. Of a sudden within 10 minutes many people came and there was a period there were not enough seats to accommodate. I would suggest coming early to prevent queuing. Would love to visit this place again to try out other flavours. Unfortunately they had red bean porridge on the menu but it was only served during winter. I been wanting to try that too but then was slightly disappointed that it...
Read moreMy first ever bingsu, had the mango which was decent in flavour but there was not much mango strong-ness to the ice itself. I have refrained trying the bingsu prior to this as a Malaysian who thought it would be similar to our ABC/ais kacang. The ice flakes are soft and smooth, a nice feeling compared to the crushed ice of the ABC. Back to this outlet, it is a cute place slightly higher than road level and convenient to reach if you're visiting the G palace or Buchok Hanok Village. However the waiting time was long (Saturday afternoon) as the place is small and I strongly believe there are similar if not better bingsus out there, at a definitely cheaper rate. Some are available if you just walk a little further down this same...
Read moreI love this bingsu cafe! Although the staff isn't the friendliest, the bingsu makes up for it. So far I've tried 4 different flavors...traditional, mango, green tea, and strawberry. My favorite so far is the traditional. The fruit flavored ones are good, but it's difficult adding the fruit on top. The green tea one is also good, but it was the 3rd one we got in one visit, so the traditional one tasted better. I want to go back and try the black sesame flavor!
The location of this cafe is a little hard to find. It's in an alleyway off of the main road. The stores on either side of the alley didn't look too poppin, so we walked right past it the first time. We later noticed a small sign after realizing we...
