House of Baek In-je is the biggest house in Bukchon Hanok Village. It is a modern hanok with glass windows that was built in 1913. Dr Baek In-je was the last owner of the house who resided there from 1944. Therefore, the features of this hanok is not very traditional as compared to the architecture of other historical buildings.

Entry is free of charge. There are free guided tours available.

If you are looking for beautiful 한옥 (Hanok : Korean Traditional House) in the heart of Seoul, then this place is worth visiting. It’s in Bukcheon Village area near Gyeongbokgung Palace. Love the architecture. The area is very nice, green and also clean. It’s free entry until 5 pm (make sure to double check when you reach the entry point). Love everything inside this area, they set it up like the real Hanok. Their public toilet is just amazing just like the traditional in modern way. Will definitely come back here...

Visited this place last year, decided to write a review after seeing the photos. This is a must visit place in Bukchon Hanok Village. We stumbled into it when we saw a sign on the main road as we were walking past. The place is well preserved and it gives you a glimpse into the lives of the past high society. Unfortunately we couldn't enter the house as it is only for those who booked the tours in advance so do make your reservations before coming. Best of...
