Not what it sounds like. We had an 8 hour layover in Korea on our flight back to Toronto, Canada. We decided to take the rocket train into the city, grab some lunch and hang out here and maybe shop. Not much shopping here (unless all you are looking for is clothes)... the name makes it sound like an outlet mall when it's actually more like a department store with many little stalls selling different clothing items. We grabbed lunch in the food court which was a cool experience. A large menu board is situated by the escalator with different stalls listed on it, under each stall is their menu accompanied by the stall number and the menu item number, such as "5-2" with "5" being the stall number and "2" being the menu item number. Once you have decided, you step over to the cashier, give her the number sequence, pay her, the order is submitted for you right then and a receipt is printed out with order number on it. All you do is find a seat and wait for your number to pop up on the screen. This food court saved this review from being a 1 star review. The food was delicious and freshly made to order (I had a salmon sashimi rice bowl and a delicious marinated sirloin steak on rice). Once you are finished your meal, BE SURE to bring your tray back to the stall. Due to no stores being around that area, we walked the short distance to the Lotte Mart next door and slowly browsed through the endless number of interesting food items and Korean snacks...
Read moreAnother great place to relax and shop at. You must give yourself at least 2 hours or more to really enjoy the place. Remember there are stalls outside selling goods too. There is always a bargain but just remember the weight and price of you are travelling home . There is so much to see and the restaurants are great. Remember this is my review and I like all foods so please don't say there were no choices or bad places. The price varies from place to place to what you would like to eat. It's all good but it's your choice. The shop staff are helpful and polite. Always there to help. The make up counters are best in the world according to others. As I said it's your choice so make your own mind up the make up. Clothes can be expensive or not it's up to you want you want. The sports clothing is great light weight and sti dry or quick dri. Trainers are hugely discounted but you must know your size I cm and UK sizes are not there 290 cm is good for a UK 12. All in all worth...
Read moreUsed to be a Galleria Department store since 1987. After Korail started the KTX service in 2003 with the brand new building, the Department store has also expanded to the new building. Galleria also changed the brand to Concos, to aim cheaper brands. They suffered a huge loss for 7 years, and decided to rent this building to Lotte. Lotte divided the store into two parts. The old building is now used as the 'Lotte Mart Seoul Station', and the new building is used as the 'Lotte Outlet Seoul Station'. Two buildings are still owned by the Galleria. The outlet is a typical Lotte style. Unorganized atmosphere with complicated store plan. The huge population coming from the train station makes this place a nightmare. I always feel disgusted when visiting this place. All the brands are cheap but outdated. If you shop here, you're friends will doubt your...
