My review after staying here for 5 nights. Yes you do need to leave your shoes outside of the elevator before going to your room. Each room has a locker. I had my own inside-sleepers so I had no issue changing my shoes accordingly. Also, there's another pair of shower-sleepers in the toilet....this is pretty standard in a lot of Asian countries.
Rooms: The room is exactly what you see on pictures (thanks to the people who uploaded). Single bed, barely big enough for one person. The room is small but it was enough for me as a solo traveller. The shower is awkward...yes, you'll shower right between the sink and toilet. Also, my room had an odor so I went to Daiso right across the street to buy air freshner and left my windows open everyday. For the price, I enjoyed my stay and used my room only to sleep or day nap. I would probably stay here again, mostly for the location. When my windows were closed, I couldn't hear any noise, which is always a plus for light sleepers.
Location: Can't be beat. Right across from Seoul station, exit 10 if you take the train from Incheon airport. Bus stops right across as well. If you like to walk, this hotelette is a walking distance to Namdaemun Market, Myendong (or 2 stops away) or even the War Memorial Museum. You can also see Seoul Tower from outside the hotel.
Service: Service can be improved. Although I did get water bottles, fresh towels, empty garbage everyday, my bed was not made during my 5 nights stay. Having fresh bed sheets at least once would have made a huge difference.
Overall, you pay for what you get. If you're travelling solo, you don't want to share your space and you're on a budget, this would be a great option! Happy...
Read moreBooked the room from 21-22 June just for a few hours rest, as my flight arrived on 22 June @ 5am-ish .. I do have a separate booking with a much nicer hotel for my stay in Seoul between 22-28 June. ||||A few days before my arrival in Seoul, I notified the hotel that I would arrive in the morning of 22 June and requested for late check-out since I need a few hours of sleep and rest!||||Upon arrivalat 8am, my request was totally ignored as the man and woman who manned the hotel, presumably the hotel owners, said I must checkout at 11am sharp .. because the hotel was fully booked as they need the room by 11am. I literally pleaded them to allow me to stay for an extra half an hour and, they said no without any apologies.||||As I was tired because of red eye flight, I gave in.||||Then I was brought to a room which is probably less than 6m2, without giving me a key and reminded me must leave by 11am. She would knock on my door if I happened to be in deep sleep at 10.50am.||||Anyway I left at 11am sharp as I was totally annoyed by their unwelcome attitude and bad hospitality, leaving my luggage there. I was literally there for less than 3 hours.||||I collected my luggage at 1.30pm and noticed all the rooms visible from ground floor were all empty as the doors were left opened.||||I wished the hotel would be human to give in for a short extension out of compassion and consideration! But no, unfortunately.||||This has got to be my most miserable and disgusting check-in experience ever.||||I will never recommend anyone to ever consider this...

This is not a 2-star "hotel", is operated like a guesthouse or hostel. Reception is weirdly closed in morning when I arrived hoping to store luggage- there is nowhere to leave luggage before and after your stay unlike stated and complete lack of communication on this beforehand. Completely taken off guard and create unnecessary stress as had to scramble to find storage. No reply on when you can actually check in, and there is no quick way to contact the operators during off hours for emergency. Phone numbers do not work.
Made to take off shoes at front which is weird, and told to store in unlocked box. Corridor carpet very dingy. Room is much smaller and property much dingier than photos suggest, although overall clean and passable, not worth this cost as better options if you are willing to stay in hostel/guesthouse. No free amenities as stated on Booking.com page, there is a vending machine.
Front door is unlocked all night, they put me (female travelling solo) on ground floor which is 10m from front door despite requested quiet room. Lots of noise day and night from people coming and going, police station next door, and can hear reception from room. Anyone can access my room door from street, does not feel safe.
To top it off I found out a week before travelling that I had to change my plans and stay only one night instead of the 2 nights I booked. Hotel did not accommodate a refund even a partial one, which seems unreasonable considering the circumstances. Will never stay here again even if...
