Hey buddy, got a sec? I gotta tell you about this amazing concert hall experience I had in Seoul. Over the past few months, Iโ€™ve been lucky enough to catch some seriously unforgettable performances at Lotte Concert Hallโ€”and man, what a ride.

I was there for the GPO Rachmaninoff Symphony No.2 on October 22, 2023, and that was just the beginning. Nikolai Lugansky blew my mind with his full Rachmaninoff concertos on December 15. Then came Jaap van Zwedenโ€™s โ€œOde to Joyโ€ on December 22โ€”goosebumps, seriously. Krystian Zimermanโ€™s piano recital on January 3, 2024 was pure magic, and the Prague Symphony Orchestra just a couple weeks later on January 18? Stunning. Oh, and letโ€™s not forget the legendary Jonas Kaufmann on March 4, 2025. That voice? Unreal.

Now, about the hall itselfโ€”itโ€™s inside Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, which is kinda wild, right? A huge concert hall in the middle of a shopping center. But hey, it works. Itโ€™s Seoulโ€™s second-largest classical venue, opened back in 2016, and super easy to get to with Subway Lines 2 and 8 right nearby.

When you get there, head to the 8th floor where the box office opens an hour before the concert. Theyโ€™ve got a cloak room, and if youโ€™re feeling a little fancy (or just need a caffeine fix), there are bars on the 8th and 9th floors where you can grab coffee, water, even wine. Oh, and the vending machine on the 10th floor? Total lifesaver.

Honestly, thereโ€™s something about hearing world-class music in a place like thatโ€”it just sticks with you. Photos donโ€™t do it justice, but hey, take a few anyway. Youโ€™ll wanna remember it.

Catch you at the next...

Easily my favorite concert hall in Seoul. Modern and has good views from nearly all seats.

The staff at the ticket counter are always great at resolving issues and usually can speak English, if needed.

I wish there was a water fountain though. Itโ€™s strange that every floor of the mall has free drinking water available near the restrooms, but once you reach the concert hall, the only option is to buy refreshments...

Easily my favorite concert hall in Seoul. Modern and has good views from nearly all seats. The staff at the ticket counter are always great at resolving issues and usually can speak English, if needed. I wish there was a water fountain though. Itโ€™s strange that every floor of the mall has free drinking water available near the restrooms, but once you reach the concert hall, the only option is to buy refreshments from the cafe.

Catch you at the next concert. Enjoy!

Trending Stays Worth the Hype in Seoul

Find a cozy hotel nearby and make it a full experience.
