The Central Market of Almeria is truly a gastronomic and cultural gem in the heart of the city. Since its inauguration, this market has been a meeting point for food lovers, where the aromas, flavours, and colours of fresh local produce come together.

One of the most outstanding features of the Central Market is its vibrant and lively atmosphere. From early morning hours, the market comes alive with the hustle and bustle of traders and customers seeking the best ingredients for their meals. It's a place where authenticity and tradition are palpable, with stalls offering a wide variety of local products, from fresh fruits and vegetables to freshly caught seafood.

But the Central Market is much more than just a place to buy food. It's a space where one can appreciate the cultural and culinary richness of the region. Visitors have the opportunity to interact with the traders, who gladly share their knowledge about the products and offer advice on how to prepare them in the best way.

Furthermore, the market boasts a wide gastronomic offer in its bars and restaurants, where one can sample a variety of dishes typical of Almerian cuisine. From traditional tapas to more elaborate dishes, there are options to suit every taste and budget.

Another highlight of the Central Market is its impressive architecture. Built in the neo-Moorish style in the early 20th century, the building combines traditional elements with modern touches, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Its high ceilings, spacious aisles, and beautiful tiles make strolling through the market a visually captivating experience.

In summary, the Central Market of Almeria is much more than just a market; it's a place where the culture, tradition, and gastronomy of the region are celebrated. Visiting this market is like immersing oneself in a world of flavours, aromas, and colours that delight the senses and...

Amazing market, fantastic stalls, lovely atmosphere, fantastic produce, reasonably priced. Very clean and easy to park. We had lunch here and it was amazing, we have been eating tapas for 15 years+ and I can honestly say and recommend the Toro, we were speechless it was tender juicy rich and just incredible, the service was very good and fast, the staff were very helpful polite and very knowledgeable. Well done. This market is now on our to go to list whenever we are in Almeria. Absolutely loved this place😋

Beautiful market. Lots to look at and fun selection of foods to buy. The fruit stands alone are worth the trip. Most of the vendors were friendly and willing to chit chat with a tourist. The prices on ham were the best we found in Spain. Seafood downstairs (and a bathroom to). There was only one prepared food place which was a little disappointing (the number not the quality). One of the people there told us that if you buy fish or meat from the market they will cook it for you here.

Loving the place. Fresh produce with vast options be it the meat, fish, vegetables or fruit. There are olive and chese counters too. You could have lunch here, there are a few eating places inside buat you mau need to check on opening times. We were at one of the eating places around 12 noon but we were too early; we were told they were to open at 1.30pm; we couldn't wait that long. There's a supermarket in the basement level
