The instructions for the pre-check-in survey and how to access the apartment were a bit confusing at first, but once we got that sorted out, everything went smoothly.
I highly recommend installing WhatsApp—it made communication with the Sensation Apartment team super easy. There was always someone available to help, whether we had questions about finding a local clinic, fixing an issue with the kettle, confirming when the cleaning service would come, or arranging a taxi to the airport. It was great to get quick, helpful responses whenever we needed them.
The apartment itself was fantastic—spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and very comfortable. I had read that some guests didn’t have enough hot water, but that wasn’t our experience. There were four of us, and as long as we took quick showers, we never had a problem. It was also really helpful to have a foldable bed in the living room—my daughter got sick during the trip and wanted to sleep alone, so that worked perfectly.
The balconies were a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed drinking coffee outside while listening to birds and watching the surrounding buildings. There were actually two balconies: one in the front for relaxing, and a second inner one where we could hang clothes to dry after using the washing machine (there’s no dryer, but we didn’t mind).
The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to buy groceries and prepare breakfast.
But the best part of Sensation Authentic Gràcia was the neighborhood. It felt truly local and non-touristy, yet it was close to everything. Sagrada Família and the heart of Gràcia were within walking distance, and other spots like Casa Batlló and Park Güell were just a short metro or bus ride away. The area was safe, full of great restaurants, cafés, takeout options, grocery stores, and bakeries.

Read moreWe absolutely loved the apartment and the neighborhood. Gracia has many plazas and parks for the kids. I really wanted an apartment that had beds for my kids instead of a sofa bed. The couch is a sofa bed, though, if needed. We walked to Parc Guell and Sagrada Familia, also to Hospital de Sant Pau. It's very close to Gaudi Avenue, which is filled with cafes and restaurants. It's near 2 Metro stations (L2 and L4) and bus stops. There is also a beautiful Catholic church around the corner- Sacred Heart of Mary. There were 2 supermarkets nearby, one right across the street. I took advantage of the washing machine- just wash early enough to let the clothes air dry during the day. The apartment was very clean, the beds comfortable, we loved to sit on the balcony after a long day of walking and sightseeing. It was easy to communicate with reception through WhatsApp and they paid for a taxi to take us to our apartment. We just left the keys on the table and sent a message when we left for checkout. We loved our stay and would highly...
Read moreWe stayed at Sensation apartments Barcelona for 3 nights during our 14 day Spain trip. The apartment location was perfect, close to Sagrada Familia and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The apartment was cozy and well equipped. We were 4 people 2 adults and 2 teenagers and it was wet comfortable stay with 1 doubled bed, 2 twins and a sofa bed. There is a parking station less then a min walk (across the street) with reasonable rate with in/out privilege.
The check-in was at a different location about 2-3 mins walk and the person at the check-in was very helpful and reception was accessible through WhatsApp chat through the stay.
The only comment / suggestion for management is that the twin beds were very short, my 16 year old had his legs hanging off the bed. Upgrade to a full length twin will much better.
Lastly I would recommend sensation apartments for anyone looking to stay in Barcelona and...
