Went here twice during our stay in Benalmádena and we were very satisfied on both occasions. Sitting on the terrace gives you lovely views of the ocean and opportunities to catch some sun. We took their tapas deal - you choose 3 from the €2.20 menu and one from the €3.50 menu for only €9. We also took advantage of their Happy Hour where you get two cocktails for €7.50 from 15:00 to 19:00 - keep in mind though that mojitos are not included in this deal. We definitely loved the Peruvian chicken causa, the calamari, the crunchy cod pieces with tartar sauce, the meatballs with tomato and paprika sauce, the patatas bravas and the smoked salmon with red onion and truffle mayo. We hung out for quite a while on both occasions, so much so, that we indulged in some spicy chicken wings too which were soooo good! I would definitely come here if I were in the area again. Everything was perfect and all the staff (Vanessa!) were so friendly and helpful. Take note they are closed on Tuesdays (this is until June 1st according to their board that they had hanging on display). I imagine in peak season it would be very busy so I would recommend making a reservation if you don’t want to miss out. Thank you South Beach!!

Nice discovery 'above' the beaten track! You have to climb up the stairs to find it, so look up when you walk past. Found it on google maps and the reviews were right, really nice food :-) Because of the menu items, I suspect a Dutch owner, with either a Peruvian partner or Chef :-) It has nice surprising menu items which taste really good. We had a few tapas, that was a good deal they offer. The Hoisin Duck burger is really nice, we love duck. The spicy chorizo is good too, didn't really need the aioli that came with it. The goat cheese with mango was a surprising combo according to my girlfriend, but she liked it. The pulled pork with sweet potatoes had a nice flavor too, the only thing was, the fries got soggy this way (that's a thing in spain almost everywhere we go). Definitely a spot we've put on our list, for when we're in the neighbourhood.

Great little tapas bar overlooking the beach. We stumbled on South Beach Restobar completely by accident while out for a walk along the beach promenade. We were shown to a table by one of the very friendly staff and enjoyed an unobstructed view over the beach. From our table we experienced the most magnificent moonrise we have ever seen, whilst drinking our delicious cocktails. We decided to have the tapas special, which was any six tapas and a bottle of house wine. Portions were generous and extremely tasty. My favourites were the pulled beef pie and the hoisin duck pie. The included white wine was also considerably better than we expected and all outstanding value at €28. We returned the following night, but unfortunately they are closed on a Tuesday. Well done South Beach Restobar, you are definitely on our list for a return visit...

Hunger was on the rise and we picked the nearest tapas bar in sight. Even though the outer sign wasn’t an artwork to put on the wall, the inner part had much more in store. Big menu (thankfully also in English) which offered an interesting selection of dishes alongside well known drinks. We picked the tapas offer (3 for 7,50) and got served in a neat way. All was good. Tummy was pleased. They also had Happy Hour (awyeah) which made the cocktails a bit cheaper. Two mojitos got the honour to slip down and they were aight. Best part? The friendly staff. Second best? You see the sea and can take cutie selfies. Feedback? Sign can be significantly better. Peace ✌️

I celebrated my birthday there with my partner as we came up from the beach, looking for a place with both tapas and a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. This place had both! All was really good, and the servers are really, really kind and of good advice. The only reason why I take down one star is because we had to wait a very long time (45-50 min) for 6 small tapas at a time where I couldn't see so many clients in the restaurant. But all dishes were warm (those that are supposed to be, that is) and tasty. And the view was amazing! Very cosy decor, lanterns and little candles, some nice relaxed places to sit and have a drink. I do recommend!

The only place in Benalmádena where I've had really good food. Both the potato & tuna salad (I think it was...was a week ago) and the beef/cheese-filled mini yorkie were delightful. Was hoping to eat there the other evening, but alas they've switched to winter mode. Good service, great view of the beach, some half-decent beers like Hazy Jane and Leffe too.
