The beach here is set in a small rocky cove & also has some shaded areas that are a bit set back from the sands in a wooded area , that provide an ideal retreat from the sun on the hotter days & are an ideal place for a picnic . The water is clear & clean & the beach sands are cleaned by the local authorities on a regular basis , sometimes after a rough sea you may notice some seaweed deposits on the beach , but might I add that this is a natural part of the eco system & it has been researched that it's beneficial to the wildlife of the sea & the other animal & insect population & also it's a fertilizer for the beaches greenery ! So should you see some , don't be surprised . The beach also has a small population of ducks ! Yes ducks & I noticed that families with children do try to coax them over & feed them which the children seem to enjoy . The beach also has a few local bar's nearby & also has a small sunbeds section with beds available to rent . The beach is quite near to a dive centre & a couple of local restaurants & also nearby to some upmarket four star rating hotels which are ideally situated for a holiday at this beautiful location . So If you are looking for a beach with peace & tranquility without mass crowds & a beautiful natural setting & a crystal clear blue sea , that changes it's colours with the sun's light the tide's &, the weather this maybe your next place visit . No visit is ever the same as the sea is a forever changing kaleidoscope of blues . This really is a beautiful beach in a beautiful...

The mentioned algae and seaweed by other reviews was not so. It is the dead leaves of the Posidonia vegetation, which is omnipresent around Menorca and vital to the clear waters here! It is not disturbing at all. So don't dismiss it or be distressed about it, it was no problem at all and it was not a lot, we found. Restaurants (one on either side of the beach and one along the road). Parking here is not really an option. It is mostly people that live here that visit the beach (surrounded by holiday homes). Come early to have a spot. If you must, you can rent a chair and parasol. There is a guard on duty...
Read moreBeautiful cove, crystal clear water. There is a bit of seaweed in the shallows as some others mention but it's just part of the natural habitat. I found out later it's broken Poseiden Seagrass which is the plant that ensures Menorcas waters are so clear. You can easily swim over it, the water is turquoise and clear and teaming with fish , there are natural rocks all around with some you can jump from. We took a pedalo to the end of the bay to a stunning natural pool with amazingly clear water. A few great restaurants with lovely views around...
