Hard Rock Café in Muelle Uno - Malaga, Spain.
This is a very well known restaurant so as a tourist the last thing you would expect is for your belongings to be stolen from the back of your seat and nothing I mean nothing do about it. My bag was at my feet, twice it was kicked so I picked it up and hung it on the back of my chair. I took something out of it five mkns before I called for the bill. When I got the bill I reached for my bag and it was gone. As I. Stolen. We were sitting inside the restaurant in the middle of other tables. Staff walking around, and it was busy but not overly busy. When I discovered the bag was stolen, I went straight to the manager on duty 'pablo' and I asked for someone to ring the police and could they please check the cameras to see if they could identify anything that might help. Well, I thought that would be a normal thing for a well established company like the Hard Rock Cafe, nope..he said he couldn't ring the police that we have to go to them in person, and they can't look at the cameras. The local area as in Muelle Uno has its own security they arrived and gave no help or support what's so ever. I rang my bank to start cancelling my cards and as I was doing this my family were still sitting at the table, then the waitress came down with a copy of the first bill and asked how were we going to pay by card or cash...I was really pissed at this stage. The main manager then arrived on the scene and he simply played the party line we have to go to the police and report that the police do not come to the restaurant. The place where the crime took place. I am deeply shocked as to how poor and lack of respect for tourism. Over all I will never step foot into a Hard Rock Cafe anywhere in the world again. I know I will have no financial impact on the company by doing this. But I lost enough money when my bag got stolen from inside the Hard Rock Cafe in Malaga and the manager and staff done nothing I mean nothing about it. What they did do was told us to leave and then it doesn't become their problem. They don't want the police at their restaurant. Hidesight is a wonderful thing, I reflected to the movements and goings on that evening and I have come to the conclusion that it might or More than likely could have been a member of staff. Yes I know that is a bold statement but I am sticking with it. We talking to people around our table and they said they saw nothing. The robbers within 20 mins of stealing my bag they paid for tacos at a location 5km away from the restaurant. Nobody that was eating there would have been hungry enough to buy tacos. My guess a staff member offloaded the stolen bag to the wanting person. I used 'find my device' to track my phone. I got a taxi and when to the location, the phone and my bag I found in a big bin on the side of the road, I got my wallet back less money and bank cards. Then went to the police station and got a police report at 0200hrs, the bag was stolen at 1930hrs approx. It didn't take away from the hoilday. This is the first time I got anything stolen from me...
