We came in from Granada and Sevilla and had only great food experiences, but unfortunately we were very dissapointed with our experience in Anywine. First, the portion sizes were incredibly small - the “white boquerones” were 1 non-white anchovie, and the smoked sardines were 1 salted sardine. Second, the main courses were simply bad. The grilled octopus wasn’t grilled but boiled and re-heated, and the leg of goat was without any seasoning, and had also clearly been prepped and re-heated. The add-on tabbouleh was cold and wet like it had just left a fridge. The wines were good, but only because we know enough to choose for ourselves. At no point were we offered any guidance for our choices, which isn’t satisfactory for a self-proclaimed winebar. We had some nice chorizo and mahón and payoyo cheeses before, so nothing’s wrong with the produce. We also had a nice leek dish, but that had been left too long before service so it was lukewarm and the sauce had stiffened. Finally, we noticed the neighboring table getting some excellent service, so it is possible. However, not for us. We should add that the 2 main courses were deducted from the final bill, which was nice. We would only have asked to deduce the pulpo, as we had eaten quite a bit...
Read moreAfter my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed with AnyWay Wine Bar. It’s the best spot for great wine, excellent service, and tasty tapas. Everything was amazing—the table reservation process was simple, the waiter took great care of us, and their hand-picked selection of tapas and wines was outstanding. The wine recommendations were spot on and truly elevated the experience.
Unfortunately, my second visit didn’t live up to the high expectations set by the first. I invited my wife, hoping to impress her, but things went wrong from the start. Despite reserving a table for three inside, we were only offered seats at the bar. We were also informed we had just two hours to complete our orders before we had to leave, which felt rushed and impersonal. Service during the second visit on January 4th was disappointing—the waiter forgot our wine requests, and overall, the experience left my wife and me dissatisfied.
In summary, AnyWay Wine Bar was exceptional on my first visit but fell short on the second. A mixed...
Read moreWe recently visited Anyway Wine Bar with two other friends, and it surpassed our expectations. The wine selection is vast and catered to our tastes beautifully; the Morgon was particularly outstanding. As for the food, we indulged in three tapas plates featuring Iberico products like ham and cheese, and each bite was a delight, especially when paired with the wine.
What truly set our experience apart was the service. The staff was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, providing insights into wine pairings, the origin of the cheeses, and the wine's varietal details. Such attentive customer service is a rare find in Malaga, and I commend Anyway Wine Bar for setting a high standard.
A point to note: the 2-hour table limit is strictly adhered to, so plan accordingly. If there's any feedback, it'd be to enhance the wine bar ambiance, perhaps with some ambient music.
We'll definitely be returning. From the wine to the service, our evening was memorable from...
