I was disrespected by a checker during a shopping trip today. I shop this store often, as I go Más and Mercadona also. On my way to the store today, I stopped to buy fruit from a frutería on Castilla Pérez and then again from an elderly man selling mangoes and pomegranates in an alley nearby the market. With a full shopping trolley, I entered Carrefour only to buy a box of heavy cream. I picked up the item and got in line to pay for it. The checker began to question me in a very loud voice in front of other customers, saying that their store also gas mangoes and she had no idea if had taken mangoes from the store without paying. She then left her post and proceeded to inspect my personal cart. I assured her that I had bought the mangoes elsewhere and she then said next time I must leave items purchased elsewhere outside the store. Embarrassed I made a hasty exit after paying for the cream.
