Life Adventure is a well run outfit with good offerings if you're looking to go 'off the beaten track.' Mecháel is an excellent guide and his previous professional life *(see Website) equips him well to take tourists to the places other guides cannot reach! The Heineken of tour guides in Nerja! His lively and animated commentary takes your mind off the fact you are just inches from a sheer drop as he trundles up a winding dirt track (previously used for mining I believe so nothing like the M40!) in his LR Defender and when we took a pitstop at a freezing spring water pool - which he encourages you to dunk in he has a handy flask of hot coffee an ...or rum to hand if you need it afterwards to get the blood back to its usual temp! Whoa that pool is freezing but do it! I plumped for the rum which he retrieved from a handy hole in the rocks somewhere. He obviously knows the area like the back of his hand so I felt perfectly safe. I would recommend that one should be mindful when choosing the right Company for this kind of trip in Nerja as the Mountain roads are quite hairy but not too scary.. if you're brave .. Life Adventure is the way to go. It's stunning at the top with spectacular views but nature is a curious beast and you always want a safe passage out if it all goes pear shaped. There are cheaper trips available with other Companies in the area but the way I look at it ..my life is worth more than 20 Euros or whatever and believe me when you take a look at the terrain and vertiginous landscape 'up there' you will agree that you need someone who knows what they are doing - Mecháel does. Do it, it's worth every penny and I look forward to the full day excursion next time and / or the buggy tour. There is also a lovely lady in the office manning the phones - Valerie who deserves a mention as she's so friendly and helpful. My brother-in-law said he would 'eat his shoes' if I went on the trip as I'm usually so cautious of these kind of things but the minute I walked into the 'Life Adventure' office and met Mecháel I knew it would be fine. We had an amazing time today with Michiel and our new American friends! The entire experience was fantastic -we would highly recommend it to anyone. You’re picked up directly from your accommodation and dropped off afterwards, making everything super convenient.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the 4-hour trip flew by thanks to Michiel’s incredible knowledge and engaging storytelling. He has a great sense of humor, is very welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable right away.

At one point, we even had a burst tyre - but Michiel changed it in rapid time, keeping everything running smoothly without skipping a beat. True professionalism! He could be a crew member for the Formula 1!

So much fun!! & Michael is a great guy, what a laugh! True gent & very knowledgeable. Take a jeep tour, see the sights & go places up the mountains you would never go in the area otherwise. It's proper off-road & really safe, good fun & nice adventurous memories
