It's a bridge. Very pretty. Scenic. But it wasn't extraordinary. I hiked from the bus stop and went up the UNENDING flight of stairs to get to just the small plaza, only realizing that I still had to hike a LONG way to get to the Alcazar. I would not do it again. But if you are light on your feet, and doing the "fitness adventure" by all means. Otherwise, leave the train station go to main street in front, get on the bus and go up to main square. Read moreA day visiting the UNESCO rated hilltop city of Toledo with its cathedral and Alcazar. To be honest though whoever thought of building a cathedral at the top of a 500m hill and the car park at the bottom needs speaking to. At least they put in escalators all the way to the top though (honest 🤷). Stunning, stunning place.

Read moreIf this isn’t the best view of Toledo, I don’t know what is. It’s awesome taking a little walk from the train station to the town as there is no way you will miss this. It’s huge and it’s so historic. I was very excited about it as I was walking up and so was everyone else as this is a great photo op. I suggest you take a little time and pay attention to some of the detail work here and really admire the work it took to construct this.
