Very disappointing food that came with a very long wait time.
I came here with my friend after visiting the alcazar and saw that they offered a menu del dia. We walked in, got seated, and the server said that they don't offer it anymore.
This was a bit disappointing (but fine nonetheless), so we just ordered a tinto de verano, lemonade, and two orders of the deer with potatoes.
The drinks took a solid 15-20 minutes to come out. It seemed like they were busy and forgot our order. The tinto de verano was great, but my friend said the lemonade tasted extremely watered down (and not to mention it was 4 euros).
The deer took even longer to come out. It seemed like we had waited almost half an hour AFTER the drinks to receive our food. The waiter seemed very apologetic, so I must say our waiter was very understanding. Unfortunately, that's where all the positive stuff ends. The deer was decent when paired with the sauce, but it was on the tougher side. The potatoes also look like cafeteria/buffet fries that have been sitting under a heat lamp all day, so we were unsure how this took 30-40 minutes to prepare.
Overall, despite our waiter being very apologetic and friendly, I...

Food was great but service was SO slow and bad. We ordered two tapas (one first and then the second one after we finished the first one) and we were there for an 2 hours. He said it was going to be a 15 minute wait for the second tapa but then we waited for 45 minutes and ended up just getting the bill (which then took 15 minutes). He offered us a free drink but at that point we just wanted to leave.
2 hours for one tapa and a coffee and coke. Left and we’re still hungry.
The tables beside ours had their empty plates on the table the whole time we were there.
I don’t leave bad reviews, but this place has excellent reviews so we were expecting a bit better service.
All that said if we got our food quicker and more attentive servers we would have been...
Read moreI had the 3-course menu for lunch. This included a salad (the starter), main course (deer and potatoes) and a dessert as well as a drink. For 18,5 euros this was a great price.
The service was great. The waiter, Juan, speaks English fluently, he is respectful and professional and all in all I never felt like I was waiting long at all. He was pro-active; when I was just about finished with the salad, he brought over the main course and the dessert was also brought without having to ask for it.
My best restaurant experience in my entire week of Spain where I visited 2 restaurants a day.
I recommended this restaurant to people I know and if I'm ever back in Toledo, I'll visit again and I hope the service and food...
