This restaurant my family and I visited last night was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons and if there was the opportunity to award 0 stars, this establishment would get it. The warning flags began when the waiter who tentatively attended to us encouraged us to order seabass from the menu explaining that it was caught in the morning whilst pointing to the sea across from the restaurant. We declined again and explained that we would make our own decisions after looking at the menu. After that, he was elusive and it took us around 20 minutes to get his attention to eventually order because he was too busy chatting to his colleagues. We ordered 1 portion of pil pil prawns, 2 portions of calamari rings, 2 seafood paella dishes and a portion of chips for our young daughter because there was no kids menu. When the starters came, 2 portions of pil pil prawns came out rather than 1 (we didn't bother returning 1 of them however how can you get such a simple order wrong with the quantities on the device the waiter ordered them from?!) The starters were pleasant enough but things turned very sour when the single paella dish came out. We waited a few moments to see if the second paella dish we ordered would come out before bringing this error to the waiter's attention and when it didn't, we were told that we had ordered 2 portions of the paella as oppose to 2 paella dishes intended for 4 adults. I explained to the waiter that even if this was the case, what were the other 2 adults meant to eat?! For someone who appeared to be as experienced as this waiter, he was terribly unprofessional and didn't know what to say in response to my question. He attempted to rectify the error by allocating another paella dish that was being prepared in the kitchen intended for another table however when this one came out, we had acknowledged that both paella dishes were mixed meat and seafood rather than original order of 2 seafood paella dishes. At this point we were all extremely bemused and disgruntled but hungry so didn't complain until the end of the meal but in the meantime I was astonished at how overly salty the paella was and very unpleasant to eat (something which appears to be a running theme with reviews on this restaurant). The irony in all of this was the fact that the main dish was the highlight of the restaurant's title!! In addition, we had to ask the waiter for cutlery after the paella was presented to us and I was astonished to see that they had actually charged us for a spoonful of mayonnaise that we had requested during the mealnfor the chips!!! To top of a disastrous evening, the waiter who had served us had cowered away cleaning other tables rather than saying goodbye and when I had caught his attention to say bye, his unprofessional expression barely changed to reciprocate the gesture. Needless to say, this was a comedy show of mammoth proportions and faults in service that was intended to be a pleasant...
Read moreWorst service I ever had. The old sir manager thinks he is God and literally tells the waiters to not come to take your order. It is just him and the other old lady that takes all food orders and they select who to serve based on their mood.
Full of staff running around without taking any orders, me and my wife got there to lunch this Sunday and kept waiting for unbelievable 30 minutes to have 2 cokes and bread even though we have decided our dishes long ago and told some waiter we were ready to order.
When I waived for attention to the old manager (after realized he was the boss) he barely looked to us and was really disrespectful.
Also the table behind us had a family which clearly knew this old manager, they had their food served in 10 minutes (but arrived after us). Really disrespectful. By their side another table with an old couple and their grandchild/family was waiting for about 45 minutes with no food and drinks.
At first I’ve thought it was because we were foreign tourists, but the couple on the table next us told they are Spanish from Andalucia and they were waiting there for long as well and we joke about it.
Sad all the restaurants and bars (Chiringuitos) by the beach in Torremolinos are awful with customer service, they take advantage of location and many customers available to treat you really badly.
Go to El Dorado or any other restaurant out of the beach promenade and then you will have a good experience.
Restaurants at the promenade by the sand in Torremolinos are a scam, take care dear...
Read moreOk it’s the end of August in Torromolinos & the staff are sick of tourists (even though it’s the ONLY thing that keeps the economy alive here) so I get it. Even so, this place hits a new low in service.
We arrive, party of 5, (3 kids 2 adults) waiter tries to seat us around a table meant for two. We ask can another table be added…you’d think we asked him could he run to the bar 2k up the road for a couple of beers & bring them back🙄
After around 15-20 mins our order was finally taken. After another 15 mins they bring 2 of the kids meals & nothing else. Around 15 mins later the other kids meal was finally brought, no food for the adults yet. They then brought the wrong order to our table 3 times. After around another 25 mins the adults food was brought (all the kids long finished… I dunno maybe it’s me but I kinda like eating as a family 🤷🏻♂️) all we got by way of explanation was “the kitchen isa crazy” (cue manuel from fawlty towers 😂😂)
Funnily enough two bikini clad senoritas sat beside us & their order was taken & delivered in a flash 😂 they got their order before we got anything despite coming in after us 🙄 seems the waiters are more interested in trying to get laid than actually serving the customers although looking at them I’d say that was a very remote possibility 😂
Really average food & don’t order the ‘crab legs’ cos we had no idea what they...
