If you're looking for a few hours of escapism then this will do the trick. I couldn't believe how close this was to the city when I saw it online. I didn't have much spare time but managed to visit this park and it proved to be a fantastic afternoon. Once in the park, you're transported to a whole new world with consistently fantastic theming throughout. The layout of the park is also very organic with the different environments all blending together as you walk around. On that note, a map isn't even needed as it's very easy to navigate and with logical routes of paths laid out. A lot of thought has clearly been put into its layout. Given the smaller size of the park, there is an abundance and variety of animals to see, each in their own themed habitat. Plenty of viewing locations around each enclosure meant there wasn't much crowding of guests all trying to see and take pictures. The park wasn't too busy the day I went which probably helped but regardless, it was kept in a very clean state. I saw no litter on my entire visit which was impressive. The only downside was the food offering. I was hoping for a nice cafe as well as a restaurant, but all that was available on my visit was all I can describe as a school canteen. If you've got kids I'm sure this would be perfect but unfortunately this was highly disappointing with very basic food offerings. I purchased a couple courses but it was severely lacking so it was at this point I decided to leave the park and go back into the city for some proper food. My other concern would be the condition of some of the guest fences around the enclosures. It's nice that they're made of wood, fits the theme beautifully. But most of them were rotten and falling apart. This obviously poses risks for children as they could easily get through them. A lot had also been "fixed" poorly by knocking a few extra nails in where the fence had previously come apart. I only know this as a few had failed and broken apart again or were even on the floor entirely with many nails sticking out of them. Definitely something that needs to be addressed. Overall if you've got a couple hours to burn then this is a great place to go. If you have kids they will love it too. But my only gripe is the food. If you plan with this in mind, such as having lunch before your visit, then you'll have a more enjoyable day.

I visited Bioparc Valencia yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. This isn't your typical zoo - it's a immersive journey through different ecosystems of the world, where animals roam in spacious, naturalistic habitats. One of the standout features of Bioparc is its innovative design. The park uses the concept of 'zooimersion', where barriers are hidden to create the illusion that different species are coexisting in the same space. This made for some truly spectacular views and photo opportunities. The diversity of animals on display was remarkable. From the majestic African savannah with its lions, zebras, and giraffes, to the lush equatorial forests housing gorillas and chimpanzees, each area felt like stepping into a different part of the world. I was particularly fascinated by the hippopotamus exhibit, where you can view these massive creatures both above and below the water. A highlight of my visit was the animal show. Unlike traditional circus-style performances, this show focused on demonstrating the natural behaviors and abilities of various species. It was both entertaining and educational, giving insights into animal conservation and the importance of protecting these incredible creatures. The staff at Bioparc seemed knowledgeable and passionate about the animals in their care. During feeding times and informational talks, they shared interesting facts and answered questions from visitors with enthusiasm. In terms of facilities, the park was clean and well-maintained. There were plenty of rest areas, food options, and clean restrooms throughout. The walking paths were easy to navigate, making it accessible for visitors of all ages. If I had one suggestion for improvement, it would be to add more shaded areas for hot days, especially in the African savannah section. Overall, my visit to Bioparc Valencia was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to both locals and tourists. It's more than just a zoo - it's an opportunity to connect with nature, learn about diverse ecosystems, and gain a deeper appreciation for the incredible variety of life on our planet. Whether you're an animal lover, a family looking for an educational outing, or simply someone who enjoys unique experiences, Bioparc Valencia is definitely worth a visit.

More than just a zoo ! Is a remarkable destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of Valencia. Designed on the principle of zoo immersion, Bioparc stands out for its effort to recreate the natural habitats of animals, allowing visitors to feel as if they are part of the savannah, jungle, or wetlands, without obvious visual barriers between them and the animals. One of the most appreciated aspects of Bioparc is its commitment to species conservation and biodiversity education. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about the importance of environmental protection and to observe rare and endangered species in an environment as close to natural as possible. The park's design is impressive, with attention to detail that contributes to creating an authentic atmosphere. The paths are well thought out, offering visitors the chance to explore different geographic areas of the world, from African savannas to dense Asian forests, without leaving Valencia. Bioparc hosts a wide variety of animals, from large mammals such as elephants, giraffes, and lions, to smaller species and exotic birds. The interactions between species are fascinating, reminiscent of a wildlife documentary, offering an educational and entertaining perspective. The facilities are modern and clean, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, ready to provide detailed information about the animals and their habitats. Bioparc also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, using ecological technologies and resource conservation practices. In conclusion, Bioparc Valencia is more than just a zoo; it is an educational and conservation journey, offering visitors a unique perspective on wildlife. It is a perfect destination for families, groups of friends, or anyone interested in nature and animals, promising a memorable and enriching experience.

The Ibiza Botanical Biotechnological garden, or BIBO Park, is a gem on the island. It's a place where nature meets technology, showcasing a fantastic variety of plants, including some that are native and endangered in the region, all thriving even in mid-October. What stands out is the garden's innovative approach towards educating the public. They have unique biotechnological installations that generate electricity from nature, making learning about conservation and sustainability a fun experience. The highlight has to be the plant piano, an interactive feature where visitors can create music by connecting with plants - a truly magical experience. The tour of the garden is well-paced and filled with interesting facts about the flora and their habitats, making it a great learning experience for all ages. We visited with our 2-year-old, who had a blast at the wooden playground, tasting edible plants and watching the wildlife like dragonflies, bees, and spiders. There's also a variety of activities available, from bonsai classes to yoga sessions, adding to the garden's charm. It's clear that the team at BIBO Park is passionate about preserving nature and educating the public on the island's unique flora. Their efforts are privately funded, which is commendable, but they deserve government support to take their mission further. All in all, the garden is a beautiful and educational spot that offers something for everyone, making it a worthy visit when in Ibiza.

I'm not usually a fan of zoos, but I really enjoyed this one, mainly because of its fantastic design. It's a small but beautifully planned zoo, covering 100,000 square meters and home to over 4,000 animals from 250 species. You'll see gorillas, lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, lemurs, meerkats, and more. We arrived in the afternoon to avoid the heat, but the park is quite green with lots of shade and places to rest. In hindsight, I wouldn't make that mistake again—I would come in the morning to catch the feeding times, as many animals were just lounging around after lunch. Also, the food court closed long before the park did, so we couldn't eat there; only drink machines were available. However, there's a nice area with tables where you can comfortably eat your own food if you bring it. What makes Bioparc special is how it mimics the animals' natural habitats. For example, you can walk through areas that feel like dense forests and see gorillas swinging from trees, just like in the wild. The park offers an immersive experience, with environments like savannahs and equatorial forests filled with plants that match each habitat. It's a great place to spend a few hours enjoying wildlife up close, and it's worth planning your visit to make the most of what the park has to offer. I highly recommend visiting this place.

It was different than what I expected but in a nice way. It was smaller than I expected (feared :) ) but felt compact not crowded. The other good surprise were the prices at the food stands - based on previous comments I thought it would be ridiculously expensive but the prices were actually similar to the ones in the city (e.g. €1.6 for a coffee and about €2 for a croissant). The park itself has several distinct zones that help to disperse the crowds. The pathways are (mostly) on the shade which is very important in the wormer months. There are also plenty of benches. The setting is very nice and offers multiple views to the habitats. There are also some interesting presentations (when we were there there was one about birds & one about primates). They are in Spanish only but the kids in our group (6 & 9) were quite interested even though they didn't understand what the guide was talking about. Also one of the guides spent some time with us to explain in English what the presentation was about after they finished which felt really nice. Overall I would highly recommend visiting especially with kids. It took us about 3 hours to go through it without being in a hurry which is what I consider the outer range of attention for younger children :).
