Entry fee is a bit expensive and it is exhibition about war, that I don't like, but you can get a picture of what kind of life on military vessels could be.
BTW real cash is still accepted here.
Destroyer is a true labyrinth from inside to outside. Rusted big, massive and clumsy it seems on the frist look. I've taken some pictures of it, but I stopped on one point. So there are no photos of engines, lower decks, or power rooms, etc. Life of 290 man on board was hard an rough. Inside is also sad exhibition of war in Mariopol in UA. Pray for peace.
Next is a submarine for 37 man on board. Narrow spaces, lots of pipes and buttons in very limited space. Despite other submarine in Slovenia, that one had a toilete.
Here are also a coal powered navy vessel, a patrol ship and a firefighter...
Read moreWell worth a visit. 6-7 boats you can explore plus a submarine. If you got small kids (mine is three) its possible to get on the boats but its not as easy possible to get into the submarine as its strait down ladders but its still worth it. We really enjoyed it and will be back when we visit Göteborg again 👍 When you done with the boats or before, there is a restaurant on the way out or in it depends on how you see it 😝 But one thing of importance, if you are a wheelchair users you will be still able to visit the restaurant but the boats are not going to work for you, as they have a lot of steep stairs. Same for people with walking disabilities but you might be able to have a look at 2-3 boats but not at the "main" attractions the destroyer nor...
Read moreVery nice maritime museum. Very friendly staff as basically everywhere we were in Sweden. The destroyer is by far biggest and takes most time of your visit. All of the other ships combined will probably take you less time. Some interactive games to keep kids entertaint. Generally very interesting. Just the QR codes for English description did not work properly for me. Of course some entrances are very small, steep etc., especially in the submarine, but that's logical. Our boys of 4 & 6 managed all without issues. Public street parking just by the entrance was available (during...
