Visiting Universeum was a delight for our family! This interactive science center is a treasure trove of knowledge and fun, perfect for children of all ages. The exhibits are designed to be engaging and educational, with a hands-on approach that truly brings learning to life. One of the standout features of Universeum is its multilingual environment. Information is available in English, Swedish, and several other languages, making it accessible to a diverse audience. This inclusivity ensures that all visitors can fully enjoy and benefit from the experience. Our kids were captivated by the myriad of activities and exhibits, mostly the jungle ecosystem with large trees and simulated humidity. They asked countless questions, and we were impressed by the staff's expertise and patience. The staff members were incredibly knowledgeable and went out of their way to answer the kids' queries, fostering a deeper understanding and curiosity in the little ones. The interactive learning opportunities at Universeum are unparalleled. From exploring the rainforest and underwater worlds to experimenting with technology and physics, there’s something for every interest. The ability to touch, feel, and interact with exhibits makes the learning process both fun and memorable. In conclusion, Universeum is a must-visit destination for families looking to combine fun with education. The interactive exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and multilingual support make it a fantastic place to spend the day. We left with a wealth of new knowledge and a promise to return. Highly recommended!

Universeum is a lovely place for the whole family. A fun place both for people that are interested in animals and science. But also a great place for small kids to play. My kids are a bit too small and high energy to enjoy the many great aquariums at Universeum but they do hold themselves at the snakes, maybe it's a bit more exciting than fish. What my kids love and why we have yearly pass for the whole family is the science park upstairs with both the theme body and space. But foremost the playground at the bottom floor. It's perfect for their age 2-3 y/o. Nice little cafe and a shop with too much fun stuff for the kids so we always have to drag out the kids. There is also small picnic areas upstairs with microwave that you can sit down in-between visiting the science part and the playground. A overall great place to visit in downtown Gothenburg. Kind of pricey but if you're visiting more than once a year it's a good price on a yearly pass.

Amazing, I loved this place. Although it is a bit expensive the aquarium, reptile zone and natural habitat were amazing but the science and space zones were very underwhelming. As aquariums go, this aquarium was good with different fish and a "aquarium tunnel", the reptile zone was good but small. The habitat was the best part of the universeum once you enter it you will be in this tropical environment with birds roaming around freely, and fish swimming in a pond like environment, from small piranhas to crocodiles and giant cat fish etc. As for the space and health/chemistry they were underwhelming at best, the space one was just facts on a wall and i think the space part is only for kids, as for the health part also mostly for kids but more interactive, adults can enjoy some aspects of this as for the different mental exercises and fun challenges. Overall I think it was an interesting place to spend 2-3 hours.

Amazing place to bring kids. There are different environmental zones with different animals, including reptiles, birds and fish. The big aquarium halls allow you to see fish from pretty much every direction. In the rainforest section you can be lucky enough to encounter curious birds, monkeys and butterflies. In every section there is also lots of information to read, both about plants and animals as well as environmental facts. There is an area where you can eat your picnic, or restaurants and cafeterias where you can buy food. The whole place is adapted for getting around with strollers and/or wheelchairs. They have a special room with a space theme, a place with building blocks and arts and crafts, and a room where you can test your physical skills with climbing, balance walking or remembering a path to walk. Bathrooms are many and easily found. There is also a big gift shop.

A place full of interesting things, where you can find animals, plants, chemistry lab and much more under one roof! Universeum is a truly amazing place that I definitely recommend visiting. It will take you a few hours to visit the whole place, but it certainly won't be time wasted. We especially liked the rainforest section - it's full of plants and extraordinary animals (including sloths!) - a real Amazon rainforest experience. We also liked the ocean section a lot. If you have children you will appreciate many lectures designed for kids (mostly in swedish) or the chemistry lab where you can perform various chemistry experiments with your kids. There are also lockers to store your belongings (much appreciated!). You can also find there a cafe or a picnic place. I recommend buying tickets online in advance, as online tickets are cheaper.
