If you’re thinking about booking the camp, stop thinking and book it now! Over the last couple of years I’ve been looking at the camps wondering whether I would be good enough to make the most of it. I wish I had just booked onto a camp earlier. This year Jens launched a technique camp and I thought before I try the freestyle camp I should do this one to make sure I was comfortable with my ski technique. The camp is 5 days of full day skiing and before the camp you get a questionnaire to ask what you’re most interested in learning about and your level of skiing so the course can be tailored to meet people’s needs. On our camp the levels varied and the coaches of the two groups were really good at working us through various drills which rapidly started to pay off in how we skied. By day 3 we were all feeling much more confident in how we skied and probably the best thing we learned is that we were able to feel what we needed to adjust when it wasn’t correct thanks to the excellent coaching, video analysis and use of Carv on the camp over the first few days.

I’ve had ski lessons before, but the camp is a completely different experience as you’re all learning with a group of people that you spend most of the week with. By the end you have new friends from around the world that you will undoubtedly stay in touch with.

Since the camp I’ve been skiing every weekend and the improvement to my confidence on any slope and in any condition has been amazing. My skiing has improved so much from this camp I can’t thank Jens, Ben and Josh enough for the incredible experience.

Even though the camp is long days and you will feel tired (I don’t think I’ve ever slept so well) it’s most importantly so much fun and I can’t wait to...

Just got back from the Technical Ski camp (12-18.03.23).

In short: If you want to massively improve your skiing, learn about different aspects of skiing, gear etc., and generally just have the best time (1 week) of your life - Stomp It Camps is the way to go!

Longer version: Initially, the price tag might appear a bit on a steeper side, but considering that literally everything is included and prepared for you upon arrival (you just need to buy plane tickets) and the fact that it's all happening in Switzerland (by far not the cheapest place in the world) I believe the price is fair and you get everything and more for what you paid for. Instructors are not only very knowledgeable and professional but also very passionate about what they are doing. Groups are very small, which means that instructor is able to actually spend time with every person and provide personal and direct feedback. I also really liked that even though there was a daily agenda/plan, it was all tailored day to day based on the skiing levels, weather etc., You get multiple sources of of data/feedback available, so from the instructors directly, daily video reviews (a lot more helpful than it initially sounds), and lastly all the data you get from CARV device/app.

I've been to a number of different ski schools in the past and also had ~4 private sessions, but the progress you get by the end of the week with Stomp It camps is a completely different level. You will be confident skiing all types of slopes, your skiing techniques will significantly improve and you will enjoy a lot.

Huge thanks to all the Stomp It Camp team and specifically to Ben & Dave!

My trip to Stomp It Camp was one of the greatest experiences in my life...falling just behind getting married and having children. Stomp It Camp was extremely well run and enabled me to leave Laax a better skier.

The hotel (Vorab) and food were great, meeting and exceeding expectations. I found myself falling into a nice sauna routine after hard days of skiing and training.

The training itself was progressive throughout the week and allowed me to get comfortable with some of the fears or insecurities I had about trying something. The group of people in my camp were all top quality people with great personalities and stories. We rooted for each others success and supported failures throughout the week, even though there were varying levels of experience and success amongst the group.

The coaching and mentoring from Lukas and Charlie was top notch and really allowed individuals to progress their skills. While we stayed in a group most of the time, the coaches were readily available to work one-on-one and help someone to get over a hurdle on a trick or perfect something new. Though Jens wasn't teaching our group, he was around the camp a lot, attending lunch, dinner, tramps, etc, and was an open book for anyone to learn from.

This is an amazing and unique adult learning experience. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to become a better skier; and maybe I'll even see you there myself.

Thank you again to Stomp It Camps, Lukas,...

Really excellent. I took my skiing to another level with a technique camp from Stomp It. Had a truly great instructor in Ben, but the whole coaching team - Josh, Dave, Vinnie, Jens, Charlie, etc. - are total pros and lovely people who are 110% committed to getting the best out of everyone, and tailoring their coaching to your specific level. It's good value by Swiss standards, and truly excellent value in terms of the experience you will have and what you'll learn. Not to mention the camaraderie with the other campers - 5-6 people in your group plus the wider circle - and coaches, plus the apres ski beers! For this reason I'd go for the full accommodation option rather than ‘coaching only’ any day of the week. Hotel Surselva was pretty good too - excellent food, even a spa. If you're wavering about spending the money - don't. Just book it. All in all, it was a life-changing week in terms of upping my skiing game - having only started last year at the age of 41 - and I'll book again for next year. Thanks a million guys! Never thought 12 months ago I'd be at this stage. I'll stop before I get too emotional. Lol. Cheers. Ben B
